Imagine feeling like you had to give the order to shoot down an American passenger jet. I can’t imagine.
Voters don’t need to be reminded why they dislike Republicans. They are voting in spite of it.
And for the idea his name will hurt, latest polls show Obama and him tied in approval and in some contested states stronger. That doesn’t mean he’s suddenly back over 50% approval again but it does mean he’s not an anchor anymore. Plus he’s not still in office while Obama is.
My brother bumped into him at the hardware store the other day, said he was just another shopper only had a quick smile and a nod when he is recognized.
Amen!
The title on Drudge is EXTREMELY misleading,
probably purposely so .. to draw clicks.
Pres. George W. Bush is AT peace.
Bush is a good man. Obama is not. It is that simple...
I will camp out for this book signing. God Bless you Mr. President and Laura Bush.
A good Godly man but was still a horrible President , but not nowhere as bad as Obama. His biggest problem was taking Rove’s bad advice on many things.
Perhaps not a very good president (although I don't think he was a bad one), but a good man who tried his best. And he must have done something right ... I don't think the absence of a successful terrorist attack in the US following 9/11 was because Al Queda just folded their tents and went home.
The timing of the release is likely the publisher's doing - after the spanking the dems are going to get on Tuesday, I think a lot more people will be interested in what "W" has to say.
Why was the prince angry at Pres Bush’s ranch?
I will be downloading President Bush's book from the iTunes store as soon as it is released. I can't wait!
He is unpopular here but for most, I think, it’s not hate but anger. I think a lot of conservatives are just angry someone who had conservative potential squandered it by spending more, pursuing amnesty, etc... There was a time when he was very beloved here but his actions in his second term ended it.
I’m still very angry at him but I don’t hate him. I appreciate mostly how he handled the WOT. Mostly his judicial picks (save Miers). Mostly his character and the tax cuts. So I don’t hate him and I can have some warm feelings toward him such as when he met our returning servive men at the airport recently.
I am severely disappointed that he turned on his base in his second term though. There was a moment in time conservatism was positioned to become ascendant in D.C. if he’d been willing to take that lead. Instead we all know the path Republicans chose to follow after we gave them the majority. The split between the base and the GOP didn’t happen when Obama took office. It happened in WB’s term. And it was entirely avoidable on their part.
He may be at peace I’m not at peace along! I’m ticked off by the fact that Iran now has a nuke plant and nothing was ever done about it.
Everyone talks about how bad unemployment is or obamacare or the debt but let me tell you...once Iran gets the bomb, things will REALLY suck.
I liked him too. I felt like every day of his two thousand nine hundred and twenty days in office, he felt honored to be the leader of the greatest country in the world. There was never any urging required to get him to go out and represent the US of A.
I love President Bush. I am annoyed, irritated and disgusted at all the Bush haters who crawl out from their rocks to diss him on every thread relating to Bush.
I wish they’d go to Huffington where they would feel more at home.
God Bless George W. Bush! Thank you President Bush. I have ordered my book..... can’t wait to read it.
Just think if Gore had prevailed in 2000, the ex-president’s book would be called “Six Chakras.”
***GWB, if you read this board, let me assure you, you have atleast one loyal citizen over here, who will salute you till his dying day!***
I join you in that statement. And there are many more of us.
No far from a horrible president. A horrible president is the likes of Gerald Ford, Clinton, Carter & and the idiot in office now.
Bush’s fault’s were simply that he was a poor communicator, abandoned conservative principles to compromise and appease the left, which is a waste of time. Did nothing on immigration, rarely responded to the critics who were undermining the war etc.
If the current to republican congress drops the ball again, then heaven help us.
We’ll pick up half of what we need now, then the rest come 2012.
I’m proud of my vote for Bush. Had that long eared galoot hadn’t run as a third party bush Senior would have solidified our place in the world and curtailed the rising terrorist threat that progressed unreined for Clinton’s four years.
We always pay the price of a democratic presidency. ALWAYS. And the price last for years and years.
There are MORE of US who support President Bush than those who think they know better... or could have done better. Arm chair Presidents are so very bright!
