Greetings,
My name is Steve from Lamar Mo.
Today in Lamar, there was a Funeral for PFC Reid. Killed in Iraq. The WBC in topeka Ks. had posted they were going to show up and Protest his funeral. (the Fred Phelps group)
When our small town/community found out about it, we decided to get together and do something about it!!
Well, here are 15 photo's from today...
We turned out by the THOUSANDS, with American Flags to support his family, and loved ones. And to make sure that they were shielded and the WBC was not seen or heard. I think about 7-8 of them showed up with signs...and they packed up and left quickly in their minivan when they were surrounded 3 deep with American Flags...
On facebook tonite, someone posted they would love to see photos posted on Free Republic.
So, here is our story from Lamar, Mo. and pictures. God Bless America!
Man, that’s heartwarming. Thanks for posting that!
OMG! All those evil flags!! That is SOOO offensive and intolerant! /s
Good for the patriots of Lamar, MO for honoring PFC Reid’s sacrifice!

Absolutely outstanding! What a fantastic idea! Let us hope that this action can be copied wherever the WBC scum show up.
Now see?? THIS is how it should be handled-not in the courts but by the creativity and persistence of the American people....

Thank you God. And thank you to all the fine folks in Lamar, MO.
That brought a tear to my eye. Just beautiful. I see things like this, and it gives me hope for this country...and not the crappy “Hope” liberals believe in.
What wonderful people. That’s America.
A nation is not its courts. A nation is not its government. A nation is its people.
Thanks, Lamar!
Proud of my state.
This is breath-taking. My faith in my fellow man is being renewed every day!
God bless this brave patriot and his family.
God willing, the American people will turn out on Tuesday with as much patriotism to take back our country from the enemies within.
I got chills seeing those pictures. What a great time to be a patriot!
It’s so sad that it takes a tragic occasion for Americans to express their love of their country and a love for her patriots in such a patriotic way.
It was an awesome loving tribute to this brave soldier and his family.
OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God Bless PFC Reid, and his family.
This is what AMERICANS are made of.
God Bless us all. And VOTE Tuesday!!!
tears....
