So the Democrats are seen as the the party of BIG GOVERNMENT and the Republicans are seen as the party of Big Business. How do the Republicans fix the economy, which means make it easier to do business and not be seen as caving in to Big Business?

This will take some serious communication skills and also a very transparent process. Its going to be a long revolution.

No, a RINO would have signed off on a slightly better version of stimulus or Obamacare in the interest of ‘passing a bill’. Newt’s book out just after the Obama election hit the nail on the head. Identify 10 issues where 60% of the people are in favor and make that the agenda. Win over the people and get their confidience. People rejected the GOP just 4 years ago, and even more so 2 years ago, so the GOP has to show they are the party of the people, get a positive reputation and educate on the big issues. We can sell major reforms and change opinion to set up 2012. We are not being elected on major reforms right now. We are being elected to stop the madness of the Dems and because our message reflects the feeling of the people. This is just the first step and we have a Dem President and likely split Senate, close to 50% for both sides after this election. We have to earn more seats and set the table for a GOP President in 2 years.

If Republicans make John Boner Speaker of the House, they will have an early start to messing things up.

Even more so if they win the Senate and keep Mitch McConell as Leader. Jim Demint would be great, but it won't happen. John Thune would be an excellent choice.

I’m finding many GOP candidates that I will vote FOR, or wish I could vote FOR, if I lived in their state.

Thanks to the primaries and the Tea Party.

I agree there too.
My picks are Mike Pence for Speaker, John Thune for Senate Majority Leader, Jim DeMint for NRSC chairman, and Sarah Palin for RNC chairman.

I fully expect the GOP to try and absorb or marginalize the Tea Party supported candidates who get elected in this cycle.

I detest the Dems with a passion.

I am coming to view the GOP as the rich, drunk uncle who always shows up with the best intentions, hits the bottle of power the minute you let him in the house, and ends up eating all your food and puking it up on the hall carpet, then asks you to clean it up so people won’t find out he’s a power lush.

I hope I’m wrong, but until the Republicans prove otherwise, I’m not interested in Republicans vs. Democrats, I’m interested in conservatives vs. liberals, and right now too many Republicans in power are liberals with blue suits and red ties to go along with the lip service they give limited government.

My mother, a lifelong Republican activist, is probably rolling in her grave as I post this, but I am not a Republican anymore.

My tag line is not even political.

If you find it offensive that is because you are reading something into it that isn’t there.

I’ve been to the wall. More than once. And what I’ve told them in my heart is none of your business. Or anyone else’s for that matter.

There are scores of people out there working very hard to offend you, and to dishonor the memory of those fallen. Concentrate your emotional energies on them.

Amen to that. Oppose all liberals.

About that picture of Pelosi -

It’s been said that beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way through. Wow, all that hatred really wears on her I guess. Is there a Mr. Pelosi? How can he possibly...you know...oh, forget it.

H.C. has to be reversed yes indeed. The border has to be secured yes indeed. We also have no choice but to stifle the EPA to stop their lunacy, and we have to create an energy policy that will kick the economy in the azz, and ensure those tax cuts if not scuttled in the lame duck session, are either secured, or reinstated.

We have to make headway under the Republican name, or we will be writing the campaign commercials for the Democrats in 2012. WE have to make the difference, and be vociferous about the differences we are creating the whole time up to the 2012 election.

“In this environment, it would be wise for all Republicans to remember that their team didn’t win, the other team lost. Heading into 2012, voters will remain ready to vote against the party in power unless they are given a reason not to do so.”

I totally agree. I am ready to hold each and every newly elected GOPer’s feet to the fire no matter WHAT state they are serving. Enough, already. I want you all to act like people that have actually READ our Constitution!

I will settle for no less.

I’m so glad to see the tide turning in our favor, but if we screw this up and don’t see it through and don’t continue to rid ourselves of RINOs and Blue Dog Dems, we’re never going to get back to where we need to be.

And that’s all I have to say about that! :)

They aren’t elected yet. People don’t vote against anything. They are voting FOR anyone that sounds like they are against socialism and sound like they mean it. They are voting for people that will help create jobs and improve the economy and stop bailing out the crooks running banks and wallstreet.

We are in trouble and whenever we are in trouble, people vote conservative.

America must never forget who the Democrats really are, and how they held America hostage against our will after they seized control of our government. They must never be trusted again with power.

Yup. Palin said as much today.
