Rasmussen - Election 2010: California Governor "Toss-up"
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 10/29/2010

Posted on 11/01/2010 5:33:50 PM PDT by GVnana

With only a few days until Election Day, Democrat Jerry Brown holds a slightly smaller lead over Republican Meg Whitman in California’s gubernatorial race.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Brown picking up 49% support, while Whitman draws the vote from 45%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are still undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

These numbers move the race from Leans Democrat back to a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Gubernatorial Scorecard.

And last week, both the San Francisco Chronicle and the Sacramento Bee declared in front page headlines that Jerry Brown had a 10 point lead.

I pray for my home state.

I like the trend. I wonder how many dimoKKKRATS will switch parties and vote with the Republicans? If a good number then is that reflected in the polling?

Prop 19 (legalize marijuana) is losing support. This must mean fewer fruits and nuts will actually vote....... a good sign for Meg.

You Freepers and other kindred spirits should take note of the Rasmussen Reports stance that the California Governor race is now rated a tossup. Of course any sane human being voting for a moron like Jerry Brown is certainly not wrapped too tight. However the LaLa leftie lunies will vote for that idiot even if he destroys the state completely. However, those of the East and Mid-West can diminish the left-wing vote in California tomorrow simply by going out and voting in massive numbers to produce overwhelming victories on the East Coast and in the Mid-West and....thus depressing the crazies in California!!! So....let’s all get out and vote to destroy the entire Democrat Party, Jerry Brown and flush POTUS Obama down the political toilet where the America hater and his Black racist wife Michelle belong!!!!

Moonbeam the Mad Geezer.

He's promising Freebies to the worthless scum who want to be live here but don't have the skills, the character, or the drive to do it on their own.

In other words, he's the Moocher King.

That's why they vote for him.

Whitman should have spent the $160 mil building her own conservative news network or just buying the Times / Chronicle propaganda organs and changing them. Would have been better use of the cash.

That said, hope she pulls it out tomorrow, she's infinitely better than Jerry the Mad Geezer.

If California votes for Brown, they will get what they deserve. That state is already bankrupt, and Brown only wants to spend more. I just hope the GOP members in Congress have the cajones to send Moonbeam on his way when he comes begging for a Fed bailout next year.

Those 3% undecided will break for Whitman. Hopefully there are 2% of Brown voters who won’t be able to go through with it and will mark Whitman instead. He was thoroughly despised when he left office in 1983 and it’s taken this many years for him to have those feelings erased from the public memory. It was the Brown years when businesses started leaving California. I guess he’s back to finish them off.

Says all one needs to know about California voters. They act like young uneducated adolescents. They really don’t deserve the priviledge of voting.

ratiional individual or business stay in that state if they didn’t have to? Recently I voted with my feet. Moved from NJ to SC. I feel very comfortable here. Finally I can live within the constraints of my fixed income among people who are caring, family oriented and love the Constitution.

Life doesn’t get much better than this. Thanks to all South Carolinians for your wonderful state.

After the beating Whitman has taken from Brown and the labor unions in CA, I take this as an omen for what could be a collosal wave across our "fuited plain."

Whitman -- who had virtually no name recognition -- has had to overcome an opponent who, sadly, IS a household name.

In light of the generic GOP/IND/DEM numbers we’re seeing, this one isn’t over yet.

in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s California was the greatest place to live....in the last 20 years taxation, over regulation, and militant anti-God secularism have destroyed the state—good people and businesses have been fleeing

Actually, he's running as a conservative. Lower taxes, yada yada yada...

You'd think people would have figured this game out by now.
