Japanese News (Translated): Today's Vote Is "No Confidence" Measure Regarding Obama
Chugoku News (Original In Japanese) ^ | 2 November 2010 | Tohru Mukai, Reporter

Posted on 11/02/2010 12:27:30 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

Chugoku Shimbun (News), in Japan, is from the Hiroshima region of the country. Their online report of the election just appeared in original Japanese.

During these wee hours in the USA, I'm happy to "FReepranslate" the first paragraph and article headline as follows:

"US Midterm Elections: Republicans Heading For Landslide?"

"Washington Reporter, Tohru Mukai: "Polls one day before the big US midterm elections show a 15 point lead of popularity of the Republican Party over the Democratic Party. For all intents and purposes, tomorrow's vote in the US is a vote of confidence or no confidence against President Obama. Even despite Michelle Obama and former President Clinton barnstorming key battleground states in a final effort, it has come to this."

(End My Translation) Tokyo, 2 November 16:10 p.m.

I love reading these. I think the non English news media has been so rabidly pro Obama for so long they can’t believe he is losing politically “even despite” the efforts of Bill Clinton and Michele Obama.

Can you REALLY read that? 8)

Absolutely. I read it forwards, then backwards and then vertically up and down. It made perfect sense to me no matter which way I read. And this from a country that has a town called 'Obama' whose citizens back in 2008 were cheering Obama's "erection".

I for one won’t let Reid, and Pelosi get away without blame for the vast majority of the damage done to our Nation, including the loss of credibility to our Nation.

This is a referendum on all of them. Reid, and Pelosi led the way, then came Obama, and his rubber stamp of their handi-work.

It’s also a long overdue vote of no confidence regarding RINO’s.

America is awakening.

The big U.S. midterm election on 1st be before showing 15 point leads of the popularity of Republican Party in Democratic Party in the public opinion poll. About all the intention and purpose, in U.S. tomorrow’s vote is the want of confidence to a vote of confidence and the president. Even, without being concerned the important fierce fight state of final effort to the canvass this as for Mitchebama and the Clinton former president, it has would. The president knows be assumed that it loses all the faces. We chatted like your so in sorry.

Thanks. However, if it’s not accurate human translation, I would not even bother with it as it is going to confuse FReepers, and only sound like a pretty bad Yoda impersonation! ;-) No offense!!

Thanks for the ping.....

The West Coast is not joining in on the Republican sweep....

The Unions are in control.

But the new California now has a problem...the budget is in serious deficit and no money will be coming from Washington...
