WHEC TV (Rochester) Offering Voters "Rides to Polls" (Coalition of Black Trade Unionists)
WHEC TV 10 (NBC) relayed by WSYL Radio, Rochester, NY 92.1 FM ^ | 2 November 2010 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 11/02/2010 3:07:02 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

Just heard right now (5:40 a.m. Eastern) that live radio, in Rochester, New York WYSL RADIO, relaying the morning news segment audio of News 10 WHEC-TV (NBC affiliate) is offering voters to the polls for free.

Problem is, they are telling voters to call liberal, far leftist, anti-Republican UNION GROUP and giving out their phone number.

This was done by the female component, of a male/female morning straight news anouncer team.

Anyone think that this violates FCC neutrality rules?

They told people to call the Rochester, NY office of the COALITION OF BLACK TRADE UNIONISTS for these free rides, and also said that the information is up on their website.

Possible voter fraud, violation of media neutrality at work here, folks.

Yep, it is up on the WHEC TV website, as I write, as such:

"Want to go vote tomorrow, but don't have a ride? Not a problem. The Rochester Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists will again sponsor its "Get Out the Vote" campaign. The coalition will provide FREE rides to and from the polls in new, comfortable heated cars and vans. Voters requesting the service will be picked up at their homes and driven to their polling places. Drivers will wait until riders have finished voting and then return them to their homes. Any registered voter who would like a FREE ride to the polls should call 328-2250 or 328-2075 to make arrangements. The FREE rides to the polls will be available to registered voters between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Election Day. "

They will cheat more — and more clumsily — this time than ever before.

All such operations should be illegal.
If one can not get to a neighborhood poll
on his/her own, other then a ride from a neighbor or public transportation, should not be voting.

Already knowing a bunch of liberal, far leftist, anti-Republican voters are going to show up, we’ve got to do our best to out vote all of them. We’ve know we need turn-out, and many groups like the TEA parties done a good job. Now it’s the voters turn.

As far as I’m concerned voting should be hard.

of course, one can visualize two huge muscled Union strongmen with baseball bats, as folks alight those nice, warm, free vans, say, "now, your gonna vote straight Democrat, granma, right?!"".

So.......let’s call the number. Ask for movie theater schedules, flights, supermarket specials...be polite and act dumb. Keep the lines busy.

You would think they would be afraid of prank phone calls that have people driving all over town looking for fictional voters at fictional locations.

A couple of angles, of legal civil disobedience that I heard someone just now suggest:

a) Call the number, and as a FReeper recomended, just tie up the phone lines with stupid questions, ask if they will drop one off at the pharmacy on the way back, if they have free coffee or anything else for free, ask for baseball tickets, ask about the Union, how to join it, its history etc. etc., ramble and ramble, ask what time the polls close, just tie up those lines and JAM THEM over and over and over throughout the day.

b) Get a Rochester, NY phone book (online available). Call them and have them send out vans on wild goose chases. Give Rochester addresses on streets that exist but not with those exact numbers.

c) Call and tell them straight up, "you are not going to like this, but I plan to vote straight Republican. Will you still take me to the polls?" See what their reaction is. YouTube it if possible if it is explosively incriminating.

Call and legally obstruct this liberal Democrat-supporting union effort being publiclly supported on the MSM in the Rochester area (NBC TV):

328-2250 or 328-2075 (area code 315 or 585 in Rochester, NY area).

Throwing a monkey wrench in this might well help Paladino win it. It certainly would drive a wedge between the liberal GOVERNMENT-MEDIA COMPLEX.

Mapquest is very useful for identifying real addresses in any city — no need to call them with fictional addresses.

Nothing to stop people from pulling the levers for anti-commies once there...I think a whole lot of pubbie voters should “take advantage” of a free ride to and from.....just make sure you take your time once there.

WE BEAT THESE COMMIES BY PLAYING THEIR GAME AGAINST THEM!

It's time to change the voting system and make it on Saturday and no early or absentee voting unless you're really absent...not laying around watching a sports show.

Oh yeh...Another day off for government employees. How silly of me.

When you see the lines in Iraq and knowing that the people had to walk MILES to get there...We're disgusting sometimes.

the media has been going all out for Cuomo since this race started

They have never even once mentioned his involvement in the $800 billion dollar housing meltdown that tanked the entire US economy

not once has Cuomo been asked

Agreed. I would make voting a single 24 hour period with all polls opening and closing simultaneously.

If there is an upstate NEW YORK, or Rochester area FR ping list, it would be good to have it pinged in this case for this thread....I wouldnt know where to start.
