LUNTZ CALLS IT FOR REID: GOP polling guru Frank Luntz is predicting Republicans will win seven Senate seats and 50 House spots, based on exit polls he had seen. On a conference call with associates from K Street, Luntz also said he thinks Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will win reelection.

"Actually, Shep said Reid did well in early voting."

There is no way to know this, as early voting ballots are not counted until election day.

What they can do is reference the early voting by party registration, in states which have registration. However, that assumes all registered Democrats would vote for Harry. I kind of doubt that.

It seems very unethical to call a race before the polls are closed! I thought Luntz would be above this kind of act. Very disappointing!

"She's been up in every poll by a solid 4 points for a month. This is BS!"

Just damn.

For weeks, FReepers have been saying 'don't pay attention to polls, they are always wrong.'

Now, when it appears they were wrong, you can't imagine they were wrong.

Having your cake, and eating it too is satisfying.

But not having it, AND going hungry must be frustrating.

My buddy in Vegas just voted for Angle. He hasn’t given me any details yet.

I fell for that earlier...that's Dixville Notch...only twelve votes cast. Ayotte is polling ahead of Hodes by 12 to 15%. Polls in NH close at 8...Dixville Notch is just a novelty...FIRST in the nation to hace their votes counted. Whatever.

I find it disappointing, but believable.

The only way I maintain sanity every other November is not to overestimate the intelligence of the electorate, or underestimate the level of fraud perpetrated by the Democrat Party.

Oh, I know that. I was only correcting the statement made. I believe Sharron will win.

If Reid wins, and GOP just barely gets the house and doesn’t get the senate, the MSM will spin this as an Obama victory.

He wants to be paid.

I've heard him say that he spends a lot of time in Las Vegas. You don't suppose that has anything to do with it do you?

Very well in Early Voting. I want to know percent of early voting over other voting before giving up.

I want to know too and how does FoxNews know how the early voters voted? Did they already count the early votes?

The only thing they should know is the partisan makeup of early/absentee voters (Rep., Dem., Ind., etc.), not who they voted for. The counting of these early voter ballots should not even begin at the various county election offices until the polls have closed statewide.

Both Foxnews and Frank Luntz should know they should not predict how an election will turnout based on early exit polls, especially a tight race.

Hmmmmm.

Statistical information as a profession. Reminds me of a serious bookie I met, who explained his game/work. He knew Vegas well.

Early votes from my district in TN are downloaded on election night from the machines. It is electronic voting but is button oriented. That touch screen crap should go away.

You are absolutely correct.

All those Union guys and Harrah employees don’t want to be on the local TV news stations saying they voted for Angle.
