Alaskan official: Write-in votes for Joe Miller won’t count

In another boon for Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, write-in ballots cast for Republican candidate Joe Miller won’t count toward his total vote count. Alaska’s Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell, who oversees elections, told the Associated Press that write-in ballots for Miller will be tossed out.

Brought to you by the same folks who promised to liberally interpret write-in ballots for Murkowski, based on "voter intent."

So "voter intent" now only matters if we're talking about attempted votes for Lisa, not votes for Joe Miller.

Miller needs to litigate that... If his write in votes do not count, than any misspeeling of Lisa’s last name should not count either.

“Voter intent” was a big deal to the Dems in Florida, too, back in the SoreLoserman days.

That’s terrible. I don’t think it’ll affect the outcome of the race, but if you’re talking about voter intent. Joe Miller IS a registered write-in candidate as is the Democrat moron. His votes should count, too.

Another indication of how little difference there is between an establishment RINO like Murkowski and the typical entrenched liberal democrat politican.

Lets see if the courts agree.

I saw Joe Miller listed on the final official list of write in candidates, signed off by this Lt. Gov. guy.

Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell is committing State and Federal elections fraud, and not hiding it at all.

How is that possible?

Seriously when are they going to label the “liberal gene” they just discovered as a birth defect and truly renders a person incapable of making a rational sound decision on anything.

The question I would have is why in the hell would you write in Miller’s name instead of simply voting for the guy using his actual place on the ballot?

I am heartsick to learn that Alaska, in spite of its isolation, has sucumbed to the virulent disease of American corruption!

Wow, Murk really does own Alaska, amazing she lost the primary. What a display of blatant, in your face, corruption for all to see.

So they better not count any votes for Murkowski unless they specifically state:

Senator List Murkowski.

Legible, perfectly spelled and in black ink only.

OMG...these Soro’s bought election officials are screwing us all over.

Before we get concerned over this, could someone explain to me why there would even be one write in vote for Miller? Clue time, he’s on the ballot people, no one should have written his name in.

I imagine for the same reason that John Hancock wrote his name real big on the Declaration of Independence. To emphasize the point.

No doubt that some people thought they would be cute and vote for him as a write in candidate instead. As you see the secretary of state allowed his name to go on the list, and waited until after the election to tell people this. I hope that any legal challenge to the procedures that can be realized are going to be taken to court.
