With the House now firmly in Republican hands, some on the left have and are voicing concerns that the GOP will attempt to impeach President Barack Obama.
While liberals, such as MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, the New Republic’s Jonathan Chait, and various bloggers wring their hands over the sinister hypothetical, the Republican leadership is denying that they have even considered the possibility.
“Liberal commentators are simply making things up,” Republican leader John Boehner’s spokesman Michael Steel told The Daily Caller. “We have no plans to [impeach] the President. Our plan is to listen to the American people, who want us to stop the tax hikes, cut spending, repeal and replace ObamaCare, and help create jobs.”

Nah, don’t take the bait. Notice that it is mostly liberals who float around this issue? I don’t think impeaching him would do any good for us. It’ll just make him a martyr; look at how it worked for Clinton. We need to reverse his policies and take away his ability to make new dangerous policies by de-fund. Another way perhaps to push for stronger BC requirements.
Oh yeah right. Saddle us with a President Biden.
I wouldn’t go as far as to impeach him, unless circumstances require that, but I do expect that we will start investigating and turning over every rock in his administration to see what crawls out.

impeachment would be a non-starter no matter how well deserved
there should be many appropriate investigations and hearings but without grandstanding

constrict his options, investigate his henchmen, keep his admin. under a microscope (many microscopes), and run the House committees as well as possible
we need to sweep him out of office in Nov. 2012 elections, not squander time & energy with any impeachment effort that the MSM and the Demagogues can easily derail
anyway, without a 2/3 vote in the Senate no impeachment results in conviction — so unless someone has a plan for getting all Rs and nearly 20 Demagogues to vote to convict in the Senate, there is no credibility to any discussion of impeachment — it just plays into the hands of the left
They won’t impeach Obama, regardless of how bad things get. Just like Clinton, the Senate won’t go along with it and the media will defend him at all costs. It will result in another Democratic rally in elections.
We just have to acknowledge (unless Don Imus) that Obama is a truly sick and twisted self-centered hack who will destroy our country because of things his sick and twisted father and mentors.
This would be too easy. Just ask President Obama for a copy of his birth certificate and he will resign!
The Senate should block ALL nominees to the federal courts. Let them stay vacant until 2012.
A powerless Obama whining and crying will make him a laughingstock, and will only ensure a GOP victory in 2012.
Is the Secret Service putting up that long tunnel for Obama to walk through because he’s donning Muslim garb and doesn’t dare let pictures get back to America? Dollars to donuts we won’t see any pics of Obama in a turban, but it’s de rigeur for Muslims entering this particular site. Hope somebody has a smart cell phone.
If the NYTimes has something which they will let out, you can be sure it is something really omnious and something even they do not want to be a part of.
If anybody impeaches Obama, it will be Democrats.
After such a historic loss, I’m more concerned the Democrats will impeach the Obama.
