Of course she is.

Now she’s made for life financially which is partly what she wanted all along. She also wanted political power but that was never going to happen. This is not a woman I have a lot of respect for and just because the establishment is after her and the liberals were after her doesn’t mean I’m ever embracing her.

To me she was a means to send the Establishment a point that they had to consider our interests when selecting a candidate and to keep Castle out. Her losing actually is good for us because I’d hate having her the face of a value system I don’t believe she’s committed to.

It’s an eight episode reality show starring Sarah Palin.

At least she and Angle drew a lot of MSM fire away from other candidates.

Enough of the semantics game.

The only people who are playing this game are Palin's enemies. Implying that it's a reality show is to further marginalize Palin and hang the celebrity anchor around her neck.

It is a documentary as the Discovery Channel, and the New York Times describes it, and it does not fit what most of us describe as reality shows.

Why are you so dedicated to misuse those words to denigrate Palin? What about Palin or her politics has turned you into such an antagonist?

Sarah Palin in NOT on DWTS
Sarah Palin in NOT on DWTS

I realize watching a show about the beauties of Alaska (including Sarah) must be painful for the Dumdimwits.
And for added measure the love of a family raising a DS Child must really infuriated the abortionists.

The first trailer for the upcoming TLC reality TV show Sarah Palin’s Alaska has hit the Web, as the Republican politician shows off her day-to-day life in the 49th state.

Watch the video on RadarOnline.com

In the clip, we see the beauty queen-turned-governor basking in the breathtaking backdrops of her home state, showing her life as a mother and wife while she skis, kayaks and fishes.

“This is flippin’ fun.” the former vice presidential nominee says in the preview of her outdoorsy adventures. “I’d rather be doing this than be in some stuffy political office.”

I’m glad she will have a book deal but...reality show? No way. Stupid, dumb and garbage.

Sarah is doing a reality show. I have seen at least a dozen commercials for it just this weekend.

If that's a reality show, then so is Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

I like Palin just fine... Alaskan nature and wildlife, the focus of the show, to me is just as dull as the old Marlin Perkins' show.

That doesn’t make it less of a reality show.

“and it does not fit what most of us describe as reality shows.”

Uh, I know plenty of people who would call it a reality show.

“Why are you so dedicated to misuse those words to denigrate Palin?”

I’m not misusing any words and I am not denigrating anyone. I like Sarah Palin. Liking Sarah Palin, however, doesn’t mean that I cease to use common speech.

“What about Palin or her politics has turned you into such an antagonist?”

I am not an antagonist at all about Sarah Palin. I just see no reason to stop using the common language because Sarah Palin is in a reality show. Maybe you should be asking yourself why you are unable to use common English just because Sarah Palin is on TV.

If it were called “Marlin Perkin’s Tour of Missouri” - and fit that bill - it might have been. Either way Jim Fowler would have done all the hard work.

“I like Palin just fine... Alaskan nature and wildlife, the focus of the show, to me is just as dull as the old Marlin Perkins’ show.”

The focus is Palin. I don’t find her dull at all.

Common language is that this is an eight part documentary on Alaska hosted by it’s former Governor, yet you refuse to use the common language and want to use the words that the left has been using to denigrate her and her show, why are you so insistent on using their language?

Well, I watched part of the trailer, and I just saw a bunch of nature shots with Palin voiceovers. I do think the Mutual of Omaha people went to Alaska at least sometimes. I was a little kid when it was on the family TV, and had to put up with it as it was on just before "The Wonderful World of Disney."

According to Wikikpedia: (I am open to other sources)
Reality television is a genre of television programming that presents purportedly unscripted dramatic or humorous situations, documents actual events, and usually features ordinary people instead of professional actors in a contest or other situation where a prize is awarded.

I suspect Palin's program is largely scripted. She is not competing for a prize in the program. She can be considered at least a professional in terms of doing media presentations, she isn't ordinary.

I would say it doesn't meet the Wiki def of reality tv.
