Skip to comments.Tea Party darling Christine O'Donnell lands book deal and reality show offers after LOSINGSenate rac
Posted on 11/07/2010 1:32:39 PM PST by Justaham
She may have lost the Delaware Senate race but Christine 'I am not a witch' O'Donnell has no plans to leave the public eye.
Appearing on Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show Friday night O'Donnell talked about her many offers. She confirmed she plans to write a book and said she's received multiple television offers. 'We have a lot of opportunities,' she told O'Reilly. 'We're meeting with different publishers today so definitely a book deal.'
She's also contemplating a possible television show, saying she had been offered a commentary show as well as reality show offers. But unlike Sarah Palin, who has 'Sarah Palin's Alaska', O'Donnell said she won't be doing a reality show.
'I'm not that interested in [it], no 'Dancing with the Stars.'

Well, good for her...we all gotta make a living somehow...
Book deals and reality shows = assault weapons. It’s payback time! Go get ‘em Christine!
Yet another shite toss at Sarah Palin.
I sometimes wonder if the two parties plant people like this to discredit political movements.
Sarah isn’t doing a reality show and she’s NOT on DWTS. Can’t these people get one thing right?
There’s now a reality show about a family who “lost it all” and is forced to downsize. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do when you’re in dire straits yet, there doesn’t seem to be any shame anymore. I mean, it’s like the whole world’s become one, big, giant Jerry Springer show.
Sarah is doing a reality show. I have seen at least a dozen commercials for it just this weekend.
Here’s the trailer for the show: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20019696-503544.html
She could live next door to me. The witch that lives there now has warts. The whole virgin thing doesn’t bother me none, because my wife won’t let me go out alone.
Woo hoo!! Closing in on the finish line!! Less than $2,100 to go!!
Let's git er done!!
If you enjoy reading or posting to FR and haven't donated yet, please consider doing so today:
It is part travelogue and part documentary about her state and how her family is influenced by it.
It’s NOT a reality show.
Politics takes a LOT of money. If you are a Dem - you sell your soul and get union money. If you are a Repub - you either have lots of money or you generally just LOSE.
Anyone interested in running as a Tea Party citizens patriot legislator like the Fournders wanted - go for it. Chances are you will lose. It takes lots of $$$.
We had some success helping avg joes and janes too but “it ain’t” easy to run.
The elites do not want Christine, Sharon Angle, the guy in Alaska and others who tried and lost. It is not easy. She tried and sadly the majority of people of Delaware are morons.
You mean smart, articulate, Conservative, attractive women? Nope, that’s only Republicans.
It’s on TLC. It is not an episodic, fictional program. A travelogue is a reality show. Other recent TLC reality shows include the following:
A Baby Story
A Dating Story
A Wedding Story
For Better or For Worse
In A Fix
Taking Care of Business
10 Years Younger
What Not to Wear
While You Were Out
Yep I agree, and Jerry Springer started out as a Ploitician (didn’t he have a radio show at one time)
It is an eight part documentary series on Alaska, by the former Governor.
Enough of the semantics game. It's the same television show regardless of what genre you want to try and throw it under.
Of course she is.
Now she’s made for life financially which is partly what she wanted all along. She also wanted political power but that was never going to happen. This is not a woman I have a lot of respect for and just because the establishment is after her and the liberals were after her doesn’t mean I’m ever embracing her.
To me she was a means to send the Establishment a point that they had to consider our interests when selecting a candidate and to keep Castle out. Her losing actually is good for us because I’d hate having her the face of a value system I don’t believe she’s committed to.
That guy...You mean JOE MILLER, They start counting the votes on the 10th. and the Lawyers are at the ready.
It’s an eight episode reality show starring Sarah Palin.
At least she and Angle drew a lot of MSM fire away from other candidates.
The only people who are playing this game are Palin's enemies. Implying that it's a reality show is to further marginalize Palin and hang the celebrity anchor around her neck.
It is a documentary as the Discovery Channel, and the New York Times describes it, and it does not fit what most of us describe as reality shows.
Why are you so dedicated to misuse those words to denigrate Palin? What about Palin or her politics has turned you into such an antagonist?
Sarah Palin in NOT on DWTS
Sarah Palin in NOT on DWTS
I realize watching a show about the beauties of Alaska (including Sarah) must be painful for the Dumdimwits.
And for added measure the love of a family raising a DS Child must really infuriated the abortionists.
Hope she does not pose for Playboy. Maybe Maxim?
The first trailer for the upcoming TLC reality TV show Sarah Palin’s Alaska has hit the Web, as the Republican politician shows off her day-to-day life in the 49th state.

In the clip, we see the beauty queen-turned-governor basking in the breathtaking backdrops of her home state, showing her life as a mother and wife while she skis, kayaks and fishes.
“This is flippin’ fun.” the former vice presidential nominee says in the preview of her outdoorsy adventures. “I’d rather be doing this than be in some stuffy political office.”
follow up even some on the right needs brains....
I have seen the trailer for the Alaskan documentary narrated by former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, it looks good.
I have asked the same thing so many times in recent months.
I’m glad she will have a book deal but...reality show? No way. Stupid, dumb and garbage.
I love COD. The witch stuff only makes her hotter.
“It is a documentary as the Discovery Channel, and the New York Times describes it,”
That doesn’t make it less of a reality show.
“and it does not fit what most of us describe as reality shows.”
Uh, I know plenty of people who would call it a reality show.
“Why are you so dedicated to misuse those words to denigrate Palin?”
I’m not misusing any words and I am not denigrating anyone. I like Sarah Palin. Liking Sarah Palin, however, doesn’t mean that I cease to use common speech.
“What about Palin or her politics has turned you into such an antagonist?”
I am not an antagonist at all about Sarah Palin. I just see no reason to stop using the common language because Sarah Palin is in a reality show. Maybe you should be asking yourself why you are unable to use common English just because Sarah Palin is on TV.
“If that’s a reality show, then so is Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.”
If it were called “Marlin Perkin’s Tour of Missouri” - and fit that bill - it might have been. Either way Jim Fowler would have done all the hard work.
“I like Palin just fine... Alaskan nature and wildlife, the focus of the show, to me is just as dull as the old Marlin Perkins’ show.”
The focus is Palin. I don’t find her dull at all.
Common language is that this is an eight part documentary on Alaska hosted by it’s former Governor, yet you refuse to use the common language and want to use the words that the left has been using to denigrate her and her show, why are you so insistent on using their language?
“Common language is that this is an eight part documentary on Alaska hosted by its former Governor,”
No. Type in “Sarah Palin reality show” in google (or any other major search engine) and see just how common that is.
“yet you refuse to use the common language and want to use the words that the left has been using to denigrate her and her show, why are you so insistent on using their language?”
I’m not. I’m using the English language. The English language does not belong to the left. Again, type it in at google and see what happens. You could of course tell me how leftwing google is and that it is all a plot to denigrate Palin, but that would just be silly.
Your definition is problematic. There are plenty of reality shows with people who are not “ordinary people”.
If you have a problem with the show, don’t watch it. If you have a problem with what I’ve called it, then don’t read my posts.
And Jim Fowler STILL did all the dirty work while Marlon sat in the air conditioned truck.
DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS ACQUIRES SARAH PALINS ALASKA
8 Hour Documentary Series to Premiere on TLC
Silver Spring, Md. Discovery Communications has acquired the global rights to Sarah Palins Alaska (wt), a new eight-part documentary series about the remarkable Governor Palin and her home state of Alaska. Slated to premiere on TLC, the series will be executive produced by Emmy-award winner Mark Burnett of Survivor and Apprentice fame.
Our family enjoys Discoverys networks, said Governor Sarah Palin. I look forward to working with Mark to bring the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans.
Discovery Communications is so excited to help Sarah Palin tell the story of Alaska, and to have a great documentary filmmaker in Mark Burnett helping to reveal Alaskas powerful beauty as it has never been filmed, and as told by one of the states proudest daughters, said Peter Liguori, Chief Operating Officer, Discovery Communications.
TLC is grounded in great storytelling, strong characters, and passionate audiences drawn to extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. We are confident Sarah Palins Alaska will be another compelling television event, said Eileen ONeill, president and general manager, TLC.
The series reunites the company with Mark Burnett Productions, which co-produced Eco-Challenge, the precursor to Survivor, for Discovery Channel from 1996-1999.
With a dynamic personality that has captivated millions, I cant think of anyone more compelling than Sarah Palin to tell the story of Alaska, said Mark Burnett. Im thrilled to reunite with Discovery on this project, which brings together one of the most fascinating figures of our time with one of the most wondrous places on earth.
And it’s still a reality show.
Yeah I having been going back to see if you have anything other than negatives about Palin, and so far I notice that the this “reality TV” thing is one of your favorites, and that countless posters can’t get you to quit using the language of the left, you have already seen a great number of conservatives try to educate you on it over the months, but you have your own agenda.

By Stephanie Robbins — Broadcasting & Cable, 8/6/2010 1:58:20 PM
Sarah Palin’s Alaska will premiere Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. on TLC, Eileen O’Neill, President and General Manager of TLC said Friday at the TCA press tour.
“The early selects are looking great,” O’Neill said. “It’s become clear it takes a special individual to thrive in Alaska.”
It was reported last month that Kate Gosselin, star of fellow TLC program Kate Plus 8, and her brood will meet up with Palin when she takes her eight children camping in Alaska for an upcoming episode of her show.
The docu-series is being executive produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor and Apprentice fame. It marks the first time Burnett’s Mark Burnett Productions has worked with Discovery since Eco-Challenge, which was his first major reality show, and the precursor to Survivor. Eco-Challenge ran on Discovery Channel from 1996-1999.
