Just Spoke W/ Very Senior Ret. USAF Officer. Says USAF, NORAD, Etc. Have "No Clue" About Missile.

Just spoke with old friend, very senior retired USAF general officer/pilot. Says his contacts, many of whom were his "boys," have no idea what Pacific missile is/was

As I was calling him, he was calling me to run my old network traps to see if anyone at the network desks in NY or DC have any idea what this was!

Data from video seems to be that it was large, ballistic, (not cruise) sub-launched. Course seemed to be trans-polar, so could have impacted in Arctic, Russian Far East, China, etc.

Current guesses... and these are wild guesses (some from the O Club at his lunch)

1: Crazy Russian or Chinese sub captain. No explosion because they didn't want one, or captain did not have correct codes for the PAL.

2: Islamic.......... ????? Demonstration?????

3: Hoax... but that seems way to far fetched.

Navy is also supposedly bat sh*t over this because there was no acoustic detection of sub!

NORAD scratching head ????

There may be an explanation, but no one knows what it was... or is!

It looked to me from the newscast that it might have been launched from Catalina Island.

That might make it a hobby-rocket. A big one.

Did you know the word “gullible” isn’t in the dictionary?

True story.

I’ll mention my earlier crackpot notion, and hope someone wants to shoot it down: someone (meaning our Fool in Chief) wanted to play Commander in Chief and see if he could order a launch...

Just a guess, but my money is on (if it has been confirmed that it launched at sea) that this was a demonstration of the new Chinese submarines that are so quiet. It is a very nice way of saying, “Na, na, ne, na, na. You can only shoot them down if you know they're coming.” Didn't our Master of the Universe, President Obama, make some sort of off-hand remark about looking forward to a trade war with China??? Then there was the remark to India about supporting their permanent appointment to the Security Council, or some such.

Our lenders may just be reminding him that he shouldn't talk out of turn and simply read from the script provided. A poignant way of saying, “Don't get creative.”

I’d say Mr. Putin is just showing off.

If so, the shirtless picture of him pushing the button will show up soon.

What I’d really like to know is why they’re so freely admitting they don’t know $#!+.

I agree with Mindbender - they know exactly who launched this missile.

Anybody got any bright ideas?

My best guess...Someone tucked in the mountains with a hand held missile. Trial run....

Don't bet that we don't know more than we're saying....It's good for the enemy to be kept guessing.

I find it odd that the Pentagon didn't just say it's a classified launch and that is it. Done deal.

They didn't. They chose the Huh? scenario.

“Chinese showing us their subs cannot be detected

and are ready to shoot.

Mad about India.”

Yeah. They lend us money to buy their stuff, and with a little leftover money we buy our fuel from our islamic enemies.

China signaling, get in line.

"An old pontoon boat and an idiot is my guess."

You might want to take a look at the video footage of the launch. No way this was a hobby rocket, more like an MX or some Chinese/Russian equivalent.

US Missile, my guess.

Course, we’ll see what the geek squad brings regarding speed, rate of climb, exhaust signature, etc., etc.

They oughta be able to get that profile down pretty close, with that extensive video.

If it was sub-launched, and we did not detect the sub’s presence, we are in deep, deep doo-doo. IMHO

I seem to recall that part of the money that was found to the multi-billion teacher bailout was cutting Coast Guard funding. Am I wrong?

The biggest threat is the islamic in the white hut and ALL of TV which supports him.

He is selling and harming our troops out more than a Russian sub captain.
