The 44-year-old Rubidoux parolee arrested last night on suspicion of murdering a Riverside policeman is being held without the possibility of bail and could be charged with offenses that would pave the way for the death penalty, jail records show.

Earl Ellis Green was arrested at 8 p.m. Tuesday and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center at 3:41 a.m. today for investigation of murder with at least one "special circumstance," an allegation that -- if it results in conviction -- enables prosecutors to seek a punishment of either death or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Among the list of special circumstances listed in the California Penal Code is murder of a peace officer.

He's the next Wesley Cook.

He'll never be executed in my lifetime.

Those who murder police officers should be executed. So should those who murder non-police-officers.

Un-freakin’-believable that the Night Stalker still breathes and walks this planet. Yes, something is EXTREMELY, COMPLETELY wrong with the “process” that he is not long gone. I remember how terrifying it was every day and night until he was caught. I believe he was apprehended and turned in by private citizens. Too bad they didn’t TCB before contacting the “authorities.”

Yes! And I wonder what is reserved on Judgement Day for those who enable these heinous monsters to evade the justice they deserve on this earth.
