WASHINGTON – Sarah Palin is the most polarizing of the potential 2012 Republican presidential candidates, while impressions of Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney lean more positive, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll. As for the rest — Pawlenty, Barbour, Thune, Daniels — most Americans say, "Who?"

The media almost exclusively is always playing games.

And we rarely listen.

If you look at 538’s blog before the primaries, they were begging for Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell to win.

I just get tired of seeing her name here and in the media constantly...
Maybe you should read a thread on a topic that interests you.

Just a thought.

Michael Reagan sent out a mild rebuke a couple days ago.

Cease and desist, quit using my father to enhance political campaigns. Stand on your own merit.

Instead of getting it, he gets savaged.

I did not say you are unfair to her. I just stated why I think the left is obsessed with her. I think it is because they fear that she may run and maybe win, after all the efforts they have expended to destroying her. They have already done more to try to destroy her than they have to anybody else I can think of. The media will not come off as all that powerful if they do not successfully destroy her. I think that really bothers the state run media scum.

Can you put me on your “Today’s Hit Piece on Sarah Palin” ping list?

ROFL. That's funny.

That could be quite a list!

I will be HAPPY to add you to Sarah's BUSY Ping List if that's what you're asking, because I already know you like her very much!!!

Yes add you?

“You don’t have to stay here and listen to the adults talk politics.”

Not all the adults have made the same decision you have before any candidates have declared.

You can try to spin it any way you like, but I am one adult who is simply asking folks to discuss more than one candidate 24/7/265.

Here are the most relevant facts of the poll:

1)Only 39% of respondents thought Obama deserved to be re-elected while 54% said no.

2)Palin F/UF polling ADULTS in November was pegged at 46/49. Last month using the same standard it was at 43/53. That was NOT mentioned in the summary. In addition Palin’s F/UF among LIKELY VOTERS in October was 49/50. Extrapolating therefore from last month’s results it would not be a stretch to suggest that among LIKELY VOTERS in November that Palin might be in the neighborhood of 52/46. And don’t forget on September 20th/2010 Rasmussen who polls LIKELY VOTERS pegged Palin’s F/UF at 48/49.

3)This poll further verifies that 4 out every 5 Republican or GOP leaners give Palin the thumbs up while Romney is not even favored by 2/3 of these folks. PPP polling has shown Romney lagging behind with his own party for the last 18 months compared to the other GOP contenders. This poll just verifies that.

Wrong. The media want to set up a race where it doesn’t matter who wins. RINO or Obama. Either way the government grows and freedom loses.

<>DoughtyOne, it was not my intent to put you into a corner. I know you well enough to know that you will think things through and land on what you believe is right, and you will do it in your time
It’s always been clear to me that you’re one of the good guys, even when I don’t agree with something you’ve said
I was laughing when I typed that question, but I will tell you... unless something very extreme changes, I plan to vote for Palin, if she runs and I think she’s going to run.

To be honest, it occurred to me that you might be smiling.  Funny that you were...  Thanks for the nice comments.

Now smile dammit....

We are at a once in a generation crossroads here.  Not since 1980 has there been as clear a decision to be made.  For that reason, I am going to be very hard on candidates, each and every one.

There are three glaring issues I have with Sarah right now.  One of them is the letter she wrote to her state's two U. S. Senators asking them to push for ratification of the LOST Treaty.  The next is her seeming comfort with the McCain agenda.  And the third was her interview where she stated in so many words she wanted all illegals to register, so they could stay and work here.

If at all possible, the person I vote for in 2012 will have different stances on all three of these matters.

Others will have to chose for themselves.  This is where I stand right now.

No you're not. You're a self-appointed Topic Cop who's a moron who doesn't even read widely inside FR, where a lot of other candidates are discussed (other than Mitt Huckabees), such as DeMint and many others.

But you only care about making your silly point, not in having an actual discussion. So you end up doing what is the rage among all the dreary people in America and FR: attack either Palin or people who support Palin.

Not buying polss now. Too early. Safe bet who ever runs against obama wins. Romney’s people and the huckster cult will do anything to destroy Palin.

Don’t know much about what to say here, but what’s more important than winning right now is to

1) Keep the Tea Party protests going as long as possible. Don’t end them after this year. Keep them going and stay active on just about all the issues and legislation going on.

2) Just really choose a candidate, and make sure that the surrendering RINOs who got us McCain aren’t in the final set of nominations, because honestly, if we’re in the tight spot, the worst that could happen is you could get a case like Romney where he threw it to John McCain.

3) Just worry about the principles, leftism is very much alive amongst GOP membership and frankly we need people with serious stomach if we are going to get a Movement going for immigration reform, or certain other economics issues, we need to start and seriously perservere, put the feet to the fire as needs be.

No offense, Mike, but you’re the one who said she reminded you of your dad. If you really expected her and her supporters (or really, any Republican who was on the receiving end of that description) not to use that quote, you disappoint me.

He shouldn’t get savaged. Michael is a good man. I don’t always agree with him, but he’s got a point. I’ve seen people use his dad’s name to try to shore up support for their fair haired candidate. At times it was very loosely connected in reality.

In one of the McCain debates, he stated that he had been leading the way for Conservatism when Reagan was in office. The worlds weren’t even out of his mouth before he started backtracking.

Same number of days but now they have to be divided between 57 states.

I defended Sarah a number of times today, regarding idiotic comments by commentators or Leftists. Most of the points they try to make are ridiculous.

I don’t care to see her taken to task unfairly.
