White House edits stain its reliance on science

"Academics, environmentalists and federal investigators have accused the administration since the April spill of downplaying scientific findings, misrepresenting data and most recently misconstruing the opinions of experts it solicited.

"Meanwhile, the owner of the rig that exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, Transocean Ltd., is renewing its argument that federal investigators are in danger of allowing the blowout preventer, a key piece of evidence, to corrode as it awaits forensic analysis. Testing had not begun as of last week, the company says, some two months after it was raised from the seafloor."

Our inept government at work, and our tax dollars continuing to be wasted.

And these guys want to take over health care and every other aspect of our lives (including whether or not we can eat a BigMac - go figure!

It's time WE THE PEOPLE reclaim our government.

This is not ineptness. It is deliberate. I know it is hard to believe that the enemy of the American Way of Life resides in the Oval Office. We must confront that reality on every front. Everything this White House does is meant to take us down.

This is SO rich. Why would anyone think the govt would rely on science fact in the face of a political agenda? Have we really become so stupid? Wasn’t it abundantly clear that Barry and his advisers were using the spill as a platform for this agenda? Unless the voters SUBSTANTIALLY reduce the scope of fed & state govts the future looks very bleak.

For the LEFT, facts are irrelelvant: the ends justify the means. Leftists only tell the truth if it is politically expedient. They are committed to a HIGHER STANDARD OF MORALITY (in their minds) of “SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE”. LEFTISTS believe they can lie, ridicule, and slander as long as it serves the ultimate purpose of promoting socialism.

That’s why I say it is not INEPTNESS. They are professional liars, which of course, includes leftist scholars, scientists, academics, and journalists, teachers, business executives (like Immelt, Rubin, Blankfein and Daley). For these people it’s not really lying. They see our traditional expectation of truth as being quaint and unsophisticated. Then they use that against us. They can call us hypocrites for not living up to our own standards. They on the other hand do not see themselves as hypocrites—because they all know what the game is: THEY DO NOT BELIEVE in traditional standards of morality and ethics. Remember how people on the left didn’t care about Bill Clinton’s indiscretions? Imagine if that had been George W Bush. Bush would not have survived.

What is fascinating in this important era is, assuming you are correct, how well the constraints devised by the founding fathers are working.

In 2009 it even seemed to some of us like elections might not happen in 2010, much less have bummer lose so badly.

And look how the states are checking the advance of Obamascare.

Sure he's laying waste to wide swaths of America-as-we-know-it (GM, etc). But it's not thermonuclear war against the states.

No one in the government should be allowed to use the word “science” as long as they continue to puke up the man-made Global Warming/Climate Change/Troll Induced Temperature Fluctuation/Disruptification propaganda.

The oil spill that damaged the Gulf of Mexico's reefs and wetlands is also threatening to stain the Obama administration's reputation for relying on science to guide policy.

Sez who?

The credulous fools at AP actually believe that the Obama administration has a "reputation for relying on science to guide policy"?

The AP long ago ceased being a news organization. Statements like this one are simply further confirmation of the decline of the AP - it has metastasized into just another leftist propaganda outlet.

No, the founders were geniuses. They valued liverty and knew how to erect a political structure to protect it. Obama is causing a resurgence of interest in our constitution, , history, traditions and our culture. It is an irony, tha a Kenyan Marxist sparked a revolution—just not the kind he anticipated.

Even George Washington is being put back on the pedestal where he blongs.
