In the beginning of the clip the missile is all squiggly until it locks on.

That night in 1996 I saw video of the ‘missle’ that brought down TWA 800. Soon after that first showing of the video, it was pulled, never to be seen again. I to this day believe it was a missle.

I have been wondering the same thing. From the first video and reports on the ground I suspected this was a potassium permanganate oxidizer (sub launched) based solid rocket engine.
The swamp gas contingent were screaming too loudly to be taken seriously, however it raised the question as to why they were screaming so loudly.

“LIghts up the sky” were the first reports: I can only think of a rocket that could do that. All the people on the ground in LA are saying SLBM, no one is saying “contrail” there. Just here.
On the days when contrails are visible, I will see half a dozen or more of them simultaneously over Reno, NV. If contrails were visible in the LA area that day there should have been dozen of then visible simultaneously. Yet there is this one and only one visible.

I didn’t see this video but I have heard that it was aired very early on and then vanished. I am convinced that somewhere, someone has to have recorded it, and has a copy today of the broadcast(s) that carried it.

Well, I’m not sure I understand the question. This aircraft most certainly had space capability to reduce drag and the engines would not be visible at 100,000 ft. Now I think a passenger or two would bitch about that glide path but that’s just me.

I’m not demeaning anyone. Follow the link The Comedian posted. It not only proves that it was a specific UPS flight, it proves that it can only be a missile if the laws of physics have been repealed.
The reason somany of you are so sure it’s a missile is because the media has either ignored of intentionally left out crucial evidence that was in the raw footage, evidence that rules out a missile.

Yep, the same video and pictures that have been proven to be contrails that recur all the time.
