Amazing Interview: Air Force General says "Sub Launched Missile, 100% Certain"
Fox News Interview with Air Force General Tom McInerney | November 14th 2010 | Fox News Hannity Interview

Posted on 11/13/2010 2:55:59 PM PST by DontTreadOnMe2009

Hannity was surprised to hear a famous ex Air Force General tell him “That Is A Missile, Shot From A Submarine!” I quote retired Air Force Lieutenant General Tom McInerney (ex commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska) “I spent 35 years flying fighters, and you can see the guidance system kick in, I have watched that film 10 times, I am absolutely certain that that is not an aircraft, but a sub launch ICBM missile!!!” See the video and judge his words for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivRJOWrcpA&feature=player_embedded#! I will next post a clickable link.

Same here. Way too much hysteria in attempting to disprove a lot of true experts (not armchair guessers). I don’t want to argue with them, I just trust people like an editor of Janes, Gen. McInerney, and Robert Ellsworth over anonymous internet posters.

It is only to remind us they can launch, we all know what happens when they come down.

I find it interesting that on a site where people insult each other regularly, conspiracy theoristrs can always turn people insulting each other into evidence of a dark government conspiracy. If a Freeper Fred calls Freeper Chuck a commie because Chuck is a Romney supporter, that’s just FR, but if a week later Fred calls Chuck an idiot because they disagree on a contrail or what brought down Flight 800, suddenly Fred works for the CIA or something.

Good grief.

I remember seeing the report about a possible missile launch on Fox News and then several hours later hearing that the Pentagon was still not sure what had happened. I guess my concern would be that with all of the satellite tracking, radar tracking, etc. that is available...if it was a plane, why they could not give the flight number of the plane. Have they identified the plane number yet?

Yes

Why indeed?

Yep, the same video and pictures that have been proven to be contrails that recur all the time.

I guess they didn't buy that "proof."

LOL!

Seriously though, just a couple of weeks ago I had a Freeper say he couldn’t understand why I would participate in the government’s coverup of flight 800 because I pointed out some problems with the missile theory. Not, “No, you’re wroing and here’s why,” not, “How unfortunate that they’ve bamboozled you,”...no, I’m part of the coverup from my little laptop in Freeport, Illinois. Well gee, I wish they were paying me more. :-)

See post #194. Don't you know? EVERYBODY's afraid of a FLT800 repeat if they transgress against some vague edict from on-high.

I do believe that qualifies as rational paranoia, no? That is, just because you think they're out to get you, that don't mean they actually aren't out to get you. Right?

Acutally I'm totally unclear what that comment is supposed to insinuate, that the US Gov (or military) was responsible (either deliberately or accidentally) for FLT800? I believe the band that connects rationality to credulity is stretched so far that the PTHWANNNNNG! isn't more than a millisecond away; that's how far that band is being stretched here. The implications being of a coverup of gargantuan to grimace proportions with respect to that - or the recent 'mystery missile' theory - but a Chinese submarine surfacing in the middle of a CVN group is allowed by said powers-on-high to readily be reported by media the world over is just too mind boggeling to fathom. The contrast here is SO stark is incomprehensible. What is the source for the CVN incident? And yet a public spectacle that is in plain sight by literally millions has to be hushed up.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

Yeah, a ten minute boost phase followed by the missile turning into a jet...impressive tech these ChiComs are developing.

With all due respect to the General...

WRONG ANSWER!

Strange though it may seem, that object was a UPS plane. Here's the proof. Also, see the photo in dynonman's post 51 and the alternate "It was a jet, but not UPS, US Air" link in advance_copy's post 35. The blogger got the flight wrong, but he includes photos that show INDISPUTABLY that an airplane contrail would produce this pattern at that time of day. In addition, stboz makes a great point in post 61...where were the scores of pilots reporting a missile launch to ATC?

To answer basil's question of where it landed, the answer is "Honolulu."

It was not a missile, much less an enemy SLBM. Let's put away the hysteria. This story is really about a media complex that told half the story, probably for rating purposes.

Thanks a ton to FReeper george76 for pointing me and others to this debunking. Credit also to The Comedian for posting a link to Contrail science before I got here.

If anything, that picture in 249 looks more like a missile launch than the one that caused the fury.

But, it’s a plane. When people say ‘why doesn’t this happen other times?’

There it is. I notice when I post that, the truthers don’t speak up at all.

Honest answer: the object is heading away from the viewer at an oblique 45 degree angle.

Honest answer: the General knows better and has more experience than you and all the “contrailers” added together.

Ditto’s the Jane’s Missile expert who gave his reasons as you have not.

Ditto the Under Secretary of Defense and US Ambassador to NATO and the LAX webcam people and the original photographer. “Spectacular! It is a sub based missile launch”. I have no need to want it to be this, it just is, and it obviously is- it’s not even hard to see it if you have seen missile launches before, as many of us on FR have -— they look EXACTLY like this incl the engine signature when seen from the ground.

The missile rises from the surface of the ocean and course corrects then heads out over the ocean to the North Pacific.

But all these experts are fools.

It’s just wind and water vapor seen just above our heads as an airliner flies over to Arizona and the US government has nothing to hide nothing to cover up here. Happens every day. Move along.

Bull$h!t...there’s a big difference between insulting someone who refuses to acknowledge 2 + 2 = 4, and insulting someone because green is obviously the best color.

Refusing to give any kind of respect to expert opinion is a dead giveaway....

The stupidity of the gubmint in trying to sell that missile launch as a jet contrail defies comment. After the missile gained a little altitude you could clearly see the orange glow of the flames shooting out the rear from the rocket engine!

Thanks

From his wiki bio: Thomas G. McInerney is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant General. He is a command pilot with more than 4,100 flying hours, including 407 combat missions (243 in O-1s as a forward air controller and 164 in F-4C’s, D’s and E’s) during the Vietnam War. In addition to his Vietnam Service, the McInerney served overseas in NATO; Pacific Air Forces and as commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska. Currently, he is a Fox News contributor, and is a member of the Iran Policy Committee.

And 3 stars are seen and shown.
