Axelrod: 2012 won’t be 2010 repeat

David Axelrod said Sunday that he’ll leave the White House as soon as “late winter” to work on President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign, and he predicted that effort won’t be fought on the same electoral battlefield on which Republicans drubbed Democrats in 2010.

“We’re going to have a whole different situation come 2012,” the president's senior adviser told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace, who pointed out that the GOP had great success in traditionally Republican states that Obama had won in 2008, including North Carolina and Virginia.

“How do you win back those states that have turned red again?” asked Wallace.

“Two years is an eternity,” Axelrod answered. “Two years before the last election, (neither) you nor anyone else would have predicted that Barack Obama would be elected president of the United States.”

Before they face voters again, Obama and Democrats have to focus “on the problems that people are most concerned about and that concern the future of this country,” Axelrod said. “If we fail to do that – if we fail or if the Republicans in congress fail to do (that) – then I think each of us will pay a price for that.”

Let’s hope the gullible “Independents” have learned their lesson: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

God-willing it will be even better. Conservative majorities (not just GOP majorities) in both the House and Senate and a conservative president.

In THEORY a GOP controlled House and greatly increased control of state legislatures should make vote fraud much more difficult. (I hope)

Let me guess; without even reading the rest of the article, they are going to focus on JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!

You know, if they had really done that from the start as promised, who know where things would be right now.

Axelrod’s new strategy will be to make ZERO appear to care about Americans, the Constitution and the Economy- the same economy he has intentionally tried to destroy. ‘

They will try to hang onto the Pelosi-Reid Marxist bills, while deceiving America that Obama really loves us, and wants us to succeed....hahahahahahaha This communist (and Axelrod is one)group want to keep up this schizophrenic bahavior hoping the young people, illegals they wnat to legalize and deluded left will reelect them, so they can do four more years of marxist bills.

We must keep reminding the USA at every place Obama contradicts himself, from his first two years, and where he is really headed. Two steps forward and one step back, if done enough times will get you a hundred feet in the direction you want to go! BEWARE THE ZERO

I tend to agree, we risk losing momentum in 2012 with the presidential election looming and the Øne back in the limelite for all the brainwashed kids to worship. Even if he murdered Michelle and his two daughters, the drones would still vote for him overwhelmingly.

Realistically, I think we’ll either just hold the line, or maybe lose a few seats in 2012. Of course, this all depends on who Republicans put up as a candidate for president.

OH, NO----A-N-O-T-H-E-R BITTER CLINGER

Axelrod still doesn't "get it."

2010 Midterms was Dems worst night since 1928. They had it all. And blew it, thanks to know-nothing Obama handler Axelrod. Their "bitter clinging" to the O/Care debacle was a big factor.

Dems suffered dramatic defeats at every level of government, in Washington, and beyond. Sweeping setbacks on Capitol Hill and the loss of multi-state governorships, even in left-leaning states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania. They even lost Illinois, a Dem bastion (home to Ohaha and his WH crew).

Repubs flipped at least 14 state chambers, and have unified control of 25 state legislatures Fifty five state chambers are controlled by Repubs with a win of 500 Republican legislators.....100 in NH alone. In Maine, the Repubs have a trifecta---they control the governorship and both houses.

In a word---"redistricting."

Axelrod's stategies are:

The Secretaries of State project for voter fraud

The SEIU ballot box stuffing initiative

Cash dollar contributions from abroad

and the youth vote.

Why and how the youth vote are going to suddenly 'kick in' is still a mystery but Axelrod likes to talk tough and bluff.

Yeah, Democrats weren’t going to lose the House, either.

What I wonder is if Republicans will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They somehow are able to shoot themselves in the foot, like nominating guys like Bob Dole and John Mc Cain. In the Congress they better learn how to talk with one voice and do it fast.

Well the youth vote is the communist professors all across US Universities plugging the far left agenda, and getting out the youth to the polls. Same for SEIU teachers in HS Senior classes, for those who will be 18 in Nov to vote, it is going to be the most dangerous election in 100 yrs....these marxists and black panthers will not go quietly, and their plan to deceive America about how they are moving to the center is just more nasty BS.

2010: Dems lose House

2012: Dems lose Senate and White House

Ax has a point. No need to repeat taking House in 2012.

I never could figure out why the Administration keeps sending Axelrod on these shows to represent them. This guy looks terrible and is nothing more than a political hack. Is this the best they can do?

The 0-Team will probably promise to pay off the student loans of anyone who works for the government, and then offer them all jobs in the government -- since there aren't any anywhere else.

Did I hear this weak that employment at the Environmental Protection Agency has grown 129% in only two years (i.e., more than doubled)? It won't take many doublings before EPA alone employs everyone in the country.

Amen. Add to that prayer a lot more state legislatures and governorships going conservative R and you have the strong foundation of a return to sanity.
