Matt Lauer is a lying scumbag (must-see video)
Today Show ^ | November 14, 2010 | Vanity

Posted on 11/14/2010 6:30:29 PM PST by Lancey Howard

Rarely am I as outraged by the dying Democrat "mainstream" media as I am today. Usually, inconsequential mice like Lauer can be brushed off like dandruff, but this latest cheap shot at Bush must get a full airing and should be seen by as many people as possible. You will get the idea quickly, within the first minute or so of this YouTube video (link below and above).

In the video you will see Lauer show a portion of his recent interview with Bush during which he asked Bush about Kanye West's declaration in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina that, "George Bush doesn't like black people." Bush responded:

"It was one of the most disgusting moments of my presidency."

End of clip, and now back at the studio, here is what Lauer looks into the camera and says:

"Here's a two-term president who ran the country during Katrina, 9/11, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the financial meltdown, and he's pointing the finger at Kanye West and that incident as the worst moment in his presidency."

See what Lauer did there? He turned Bush's phrase, "one of the most disgusting moments", into, "the worst moment", in order to paint Bush as being more concerned about the inane rantings of a self-absorbed hip-hop artist than he was about the mass murder of 3,000 Americans, the loss of our best and brightest young people in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Hurricane Katrina, and the economic mess. Watch this video for yourself and keep your blood pressure pills within reach:

Matt Lauer's Disgusting Cheap Shot - the video

I realize that Lauer has never been accused of being the brightest bub in the chandelier, but even if some mischievous newsroom writers chuckled in astonishment when Lauer actually read the script they gave him, Lauer needs to be held to account. (And yes, shame on Bush for ever sitting down with this scumbag Lauer.)

“...his incompetent communications staff catered to the left wing media...”

I hope you weren’t intending to include Tony Snow in your remark.

Tony, whom I knew, was not there long enough to straighten out the mess he found. And it got worse after his untimely demise.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Does President Bush really need to push his book so hard that he needs to grant an interview with a total POS?

But of course the liberals gave lauer a standing ovation for that and that’s exactly what Matty-boy wanted.

My dog doesn’t make as much money...but he is far more intelligent than Kanye.

And a million times more lovable, I'm sure.

If you are suggesting that he was directed to cover his dental work, I doubt it. His movements didn't seem conscious, but rather unconscious. I'd like to see O’Reilly’s body language expert analyze this video. West was in a bad mood, maybe because his mouth hurt.

He was doing the same thing kids with braces do: Rub, cover, & fiddle with their mouths. I'll bet his bottom lip is painful hamburger.

Lauer is too shallow to comprehend the magnitiude of West’s declaration and its effect on President Bush.

I believe Lauer saw an opportunity to take a comment totally out of context and tweak it just enough to construct a vile cheap shot.

Are you all aware that Kanye is the son of Cornell West, a well known college professor and author? Cornell is in tight with the leftist media propaganda.

I would be offended if I took Matt Lauer seriously.

Basically, I agree. And like I said, normally I can brush off Lauer like dandruff. This latest cheap shot, however, was over the top and could not be brushed off.

True that Lauer is an idiot, but you might want to know the real truth...if any of these mainstream media morons really cared.

Governor Kathleen Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin were the two clowns that caused all of the problems before and after Katrina. Nagin failed to evacuate the city even though he had more than 300 busses available (they all ended up under water). And Blanco denied President Bush and all of the resources he had available until 3 days after the hurricane hit. So, you can thank Blanco (a self agrandizing moron) and Nagin (someone who failed to have the foresight to know that this would be one of the largest disasters to hit New Orleans in years).

Bush is far from a racist. I have met the man and he is a true southern gentleman willing to do whatever he can, but when Blanco and Nagin stood in his way....what you get is a catastrophe.

Where do you get off calling Kenny West a “self-absorbed hip-hop artist”. What are you, his agent?

Kenny West is a NO TALENT, white hating, imbecile, who produces noise that I value less than the Labrador loads I scoop up im my backyard.

Artist? If he’s an “artist” then Obama’s is competent President.

True that Lauer is an idiot

Of more concern to me than his lack of brainpower is that Lauer is a sneak who took a disgusting cheap shot at Bush. It will be interesting to see if Bush or anybody close to him calls Lauer and the Today Show out for this disgusting broadcast.

Yes, the Katrina aftermath was a Bush PR nightmare orchestrated by the Democrat newsrooms who started their insidious campaign by pushing the fraudulent idea that FEMA was supposed to be a "first responder" of some kind. It was all downhill from there, thanks mainly to the Bush administration's poor communications apparatus and its long-term unwillingness to stand up and fight. Instead of fighting back, Bush tried to buy everybody off with $2,000 debit cards (paid for by the taxpayers, of course). Yeah, that worked like a charm.

No way were the Democrat newsrooms going to take Nagin or Blanco to task for their malicious incompetence. If Hurrican Katrina happened next week, those same Democrat newsroom scumbags would go after Jindal, and Ubama would be given a complete pass. Count on it.
