TSA pats down a screaming toddler

You might think a 3-year-old would whiz through security. A child is non-threatening, wears slip-on shoes, and carries little luggage.

Not the case for Mandy Simon who was passing through security with her dad at the airport in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Don't FONDLE my kids!

I posted this on another thread:

I can't believe ANY parent would allow their child to be touched like this by *ANY* STRANGER. PERIOD. The ONLY person I ever allowed to touch my children in this manner was their checked-out, familiar and professional PEDIATRICIAN. And at THAT is was only due to my loving parental desire for their *MEDICAL* WELL-BEING. And I ONLY allowed it with ME right next to them in PRIVATE. With the doctor.

Dear GOD what have we come to in just completely relinquishing any rational THOUGHT, PROTECTION and WELL-BEING of our CHILDREN?For all ANYBODY knows these TSA people are latent PEDOPHILES. In fact in a way they ARE... OVERTLY so.

These people are NOT medical PROFESSIONALS. These people are not DOCTORS. Not even NURSES. And parents freely hand their CHILDREN over to these ADULT complete STRANGERS? To be FONDLED? Have some parents lost their MINDS?

As far as I'm concerned these parents are guilty of child abuse. They're complicit. And these children SEE their parents ALLOWING this hands-on search? And the parents ALLOW the PUBLIC to SEE this??? THINK about it.

If my kids were still small...or even bigger...we'd be traveling everywhere by CAR or TRAIN. Or just not G O I N G. Have we as a nation...as responsible and loving PARENTS lost our FREAKING MINDS?

I imagine attendance at Disneyworld and similar destinations will go way DOWN. Actually, if it doesn't, I'll have lost all faith in American parents. It wouod mean that parents would rather allow their children to be GROPED and FONDLED (to go by plane) to go see Mickey. NO WAY.

ObaMAO and Big Sis want to BANKRUPT the Airlines and places like Disneyworld and other all-American leisure destinations. He wants GOVERNMENT AIR and NO AMERICAN GETWAY FAMILY FUN.

ObaMAO wants control over our movements about the country...and wants to know what Gold and Silver pieces we have on our bodies that we'll be attempting to transport (smuggle in future terms,) to loved ones. My son told me that aside from Soros being heavily invested in these TSA machines, that Chertoff is as well. But I REALLY digress.

I'm suggesting that babies be subject to the same screening that my carry-on luggage receives.

LOL, don't baby's get caught on conveyor belt when they pass through the x-ray machine!

And by your suggested omission, we are putting that old lady and everyone she fly's with at greater risk by excluding her from screening.

Sorry FRiend, I'm just not getting your logic.

You still haven't opined as to whether or not you will condone cavity searches...

I'm going to guess that you probably would not, nor would anyone else and ergo not fly.

Of course that would put a major industry out of business and I'm really starting to think that may be the whole objective of this.

Just a thought....or maybe it's all about "quantitative easing" of total control of the American people or to see how far they can go before they start a real revolution.

Sorry, but this IS NOT AMERICA!!

You seem to have a problem with the fact that the TSA wasn't criticized as harshly on FR when Bush was President as it is being criticized today when Obama is President.

Simple answer: TSA's policy changed--and recently. Google it yourself, I'm not your research assistant, but this change and TSA's more intrusive method of "feeling up" passengers is why there is an outcry today.

Another answer: The TSA under current Leftist Nanny Napolitano is more PC and more intrusive than it was even under Bush's Leftist Ninny Norm Mineta. That also explains the increase in complaints.

And when Bush appointed Mineta as head of Transportation in his cabinet, there were PLENTY of Freepers who complained about it. That appointment was one of those hold-your-nose-shake-your-head Bush moments that did not pass without criticism on this website (see, e.g., the Harriet Miers debacle, No Child Left Behind, etc. etc.)

Bottom line: GWB did a few good things for conservatives during 8 years, but he did some harm, too. No thinking Freeper has ever given Bush a free pass on all issues.

And Bush's failures (and achievements, for that matter) have NOTHING to do with the outcry today.

Is the government actually trying to be as dumb as a paramecium?

Dumber.

A paramecium knows when to split.

or at least employees should have a few lollipops or stickers in their pockets.

So let’s teach all our kids that it’s okay to be felt up by adults as long as they give you a lollipop or sticker.
These people are stupid.

A little humor from Citizen Wells:

TJ | November 16, 2010 at 4:40 pm | We are all Mooslims….
when going to the airport, just remember to take along your hajib…
remind the TSA that you’re a Mooslim woman (even if the body parts don’t match your soul..).. and that they are only allowed to pat down the head and neck area..
I think it would be great if everyone did this..
I’m might even open a kiosk at the airport selling “Mooslim Woman for a Day” kits for flyers.. except Obie would claim he added a job to the economy!

Right now, the TSA fails to find/identify 90% of the hidden security test objects sent through their screening to check their effectiveness...

Do you have a link or source to that? I'd like to document it. Thanks.

In a broad sense, airline security is a good thing. DB Cooper hijacked a 727 and other nuts did the same back in the days before any screening.

But because fo 9/11, we’ve institutionalized governmental intrusion and ineptness to a degree unimaginable 15 to 20 years ago all in the name of security and safety.

The 4th amendment of the Bill of Rights is a matter of constitutional law. It forbids unreasonable searches and stipulates that probable cause is required to search and a legally obtained search warrant required.

Explain to me how an arbitrary and capriciuos TSA groping of any non-suspected hapless traveler is not a violation of the 4th amendment?

The entire chain is a series of weak links. I’ve been passed through casually many times while staff chatted and joked. I’ve walked through with unopened bottled water.

Crime occurs in prison.

Security risk is the cost of a free society and the response by Napolitano and the TSA isn’t real security, but grooming.

Monitoring cameras, zero tolerance policies and the TSA are all part of a security continuum that is slave to political correctness and the inability of liberalism to recognize and destroy evil when faced with it.

Boohoohooboohooo.

Don’t fly.

You gotta feel up passengers, Einstein, remember the underwear bomber, and what about a paper cutter taped to your groin.

If you don’t like the machine then you gotta be frisked.

Simple.

Perhaps if all these people had been exposed to a thorough patdown in their youth, they wouldn’t be whining up a storm now.

Whaddayawant? A Compassionate Frisk? With gentle loving feelings and kumbaya thrown in.

Maybe Napoliltano’s TSA is more rigourous now is because their damn hair is on fire these days. Threat levels are up.

And watch, you’d be the first one in line complaining that the TSA didn’t do enough if some jihadi scum got through to the airplane.

Otherwise, don’t fly, shutup and stop whining.

Would you hold the same opinion if it were the airlines that were doning this or do you only grab your ankles for the gubmint?

What if you HAVE to fly, then what?
