I’d be willing to give Rep. Rangel a partial pass if he would produce a bona fide copy of BHO’s long form birth certificate.
Good for Rev Peterson!!
Surprising that it got to this point. Normally, democrats are held to a much lower standard that normal people.
they’re gonna haul him before congress and say “Bad charlie! BAD!” adn that will be that.
Amen!
Charlie's theatrics and sniveling at his trial was absolutely sickening, especially so because what he was crying about was his own doing.
We have accountability now. A year or two ago I never thought we would get to the point of a subcommittee conviction on double digit counts. I’m satisfied regardless of the punishment.
Now there may be some potential for criminal indictments...
Good for Rev. Peterson!
(I’ve never heard of him but good for him anyway)
He’ll probably be forced to listen to a fifteen-minute condemnation of is actions while standing on the House floor, and lose his chairmanship (which he’s losing anyway). MSM will cover the event and try to convince us it’s just like flogging, or maybe keelhauling.
Let’s see...tax evasion, lying under oath...to name only a couple. If an ordinary citizen did this he/she would go to jail. If a congressman does it they get “a reprimand.” Sorry. This doesn’t cut it. Those in Congress work for the American people. They need to be held to at least an equal standard if not a higher one. Anything short of expulsion from Congress for Charlie Rangel is a joke. So much for Pelosi’s claim of “draining the swamp.” The swamp is Congress. And it is full of waste and corruption.
I am weary of chances with no gain. Eleven violations out of thirteen would be more than enough to have any Republican removed from all respect. (Trent Lott comes to mind-oh he is
still hanging around but nobody listens to him anymore) I would give Good Time Charlie a partial pass if he hadn’t
played the race card. Pretended to be dumb, and broke, and
not able to buy his defense. No doubt the Democrats intend to give him a pass.any punishment would be incompatible with the
political record.
I don’t know anything about Rev Peterson but I am hoping this is out of an honest sense of justice, which would be a breath of fresh air in Rangel’s history of ethics.
