They spend part of yesterday afternoon detonating the stuff in the backyard so they could safely enter the house.

Terrorist’s note to self:

It’s bad form to blow up the gardener.

sheriff’s deputies arrested the home’s tenant, George Djura Jakubec, 54, on suspicion of illegally manufacturing and possessing explosives,

Jakubec? Serbian?

Good question.

I found another story that indicates none of the material detonated when the Sheriffs’ charges were set off. So either the gardener came in contact with the one ounce that was properly made, or he stepped on something else.

They’re exploring the house carefully. Reportedly lots of chemicals inside.

More here. Sounds like the suspect might have a grudge against a former employer.

Slovak ~ that’s what Google.com pops up to give you a reasonably clear translation of things involving others of that name.

“Sheriff's officials said it appeared Garcia stepped on a bit of the material, which exploded, injuring his left eye and arm.”

The gardener steps on it, and it magically injures his left arm and eye, but not his foot. Something is wrong with this picture. It sounds more likely that he was hitting it with something.

***I am pretty sure the name is Czech.
Maybe someone can check?**

That reminds me of the story of the short man fleeing the police in Czechloslovakia.

He darted into a doorway, knocked on the door and asked the homeowner...”Can you cache a small Czech?”

Forget the airports, this is the reason they will use to enter your homes.

YOU are all guilty until we say so.

Just wait

“a landscaper was injured by a blast last week”

Illegals — blowing up the illegal alien laborers that Americans don’t want to blow up.

Thanks ArmstedFragg.
