If food prices here in obamaland take off, thanks to inflation and other market forces, eating too much probably won’t be our most pressing issue.

The problem is that nowadays, leftist politicians truly are trying to govern our eating habits. I think they'll have salt on the list of Schedule 1 drugs if they have their way. Thus, Michelle's otherwise harmless pet project becomes a symbol of something more insidious.
If the kids are too fat, maybe the schools should stop using my tax money to feed them.
