True or not, it’ll make a heck of a movie.

We heard about this eight years ago when we adopted from China. Another family adopted a child with natural blond highlights in her hair and that was the theory. I said to my husband that would be an interesting heritage for our child to have, with some blond highlights, like my blond hair. He said he was glad that wasn’t the case, because then instead of getting the “Oh she’s adopted look” I’d get the “Oh you had an affair with an Asian guy” look!

More than likely - it was traders coming out of Europe - might have had protection of former Legionaires??? But this is common when two distinct cultures merge on border posts...

You can se it in Basra, Iraq from the days when the Queens soliders ran amuck - there’s alot of British looking Arabs - plus the Kurds - being a left over from the days of Alexander...

All in all - prety neat stuff to say the least...I wonder if Keira knightly will play the Chinese princess???

There is no documented historical evidence to support the notion that any Roman unit got "lost" and wandered as far as northern China.

However there is historical evidence that the Norsemen/ Kievan Rus recruited by the Byzantines to serve as muscle wandered very far and wide.

There are descendents of Alexander The Great's soldiers in Pakistan. You can find people with blonde hair and blue eyes...

National Geographic had an article and some pics a few years back.

The Kalash Tribe of Pakistan

...more Kalash of Pakistan...

Descendants of Alexander the Great.

I recall reading somewhere that their DNA indicated origins in Italy and Germany. Alexander the Great's troops came from a wide swath of Europe.

How do they know it was Roman pollinators, and not Vikings or Russians or Scotsmen?

There were Roman Legions in Southern Germany that may have been African. I figure I am African American based on that.

My Aunt was a movie extra and was called in for white, black, Asian or Latino rolls. (She was the Phillippino welcoming MacArthur (G. Peck) in the movie.)

The Roman empire fought many battles in the middle east and lost a few. What happened to those taken prisoner, undoubtedly many were sold into slavery and could have ended up in China and since they were well trained soldiers could have been used as such.

I do recall that the Danish “Noah” Plaque shows Noah`s wife as Chinese. That would explain it.
