Putting that boat under the Aussie flag is a smart move by the otherwise-dense Watson...like you said, Australia has always been annoyed by Japanese whaling, and if a boat under the Aussie flag gets damaged (even if they put themselves in harms’ way) then it’s g’day, international incident.

And when they attempt to ram a Japanese vessel or board it?

They do so under the Australian flag.

The Australian navy should man up and not hand off their obligations to an ecoterrorist.

I am anti-whaling in the sense that I think it is a wasteful government subsidy for an industry that should have and would have died of natural causes years ago had it not been propped up by taxpayer yen, but not because I think that whales are any more special than cows, pigs or chickens.

I am very anti-anti-whaling when it comes to the antics of Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd and fully support the Japanese law enforcement efforts to counter their dangerous and illegal tactics on the high seas.

I have friends who own a zoo and were friends with Steve. He was mellowing in his enviro hippy attitudes. They had high hopes for him. They believe he was moving in the direction of anti enviro. Private zoo owners are extremely hostile to animal rights groups and government enviro regs. Steve’s wife has been a wacko since before he met her.

LOL! I can’t watch it because watching a bunch of hippies who couldn’t cut in the real world want to play badass is really boring.

My husband drove boats for the Navy SEALS for 9+ years, and he laughs at the sheer stupidity of the the environutjobs.

Hey, if they want to die for an animal that would probably sink their boat without a second thought, let them. More room on the planet for my more intelligent offspring and me. :)
