As if we didn’t already have enough evidence of anti-capitalism in this country.

In Russia, you don’t drive in street, street drives in you.

Well, but then you get into that whole eugenics nastiness; a morally barren and failed concept.

Better to base the criminality on the idiot being a demonstrable threat to public safety; life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, etc.

On that basis, the entire TSA could be summarily liquidated.

Miami, Florida had dual language STOP/ALTO signs in 1957.
Note; prior to Castro.

Now, in 2010, there are sections of Miami where the signs just say "ALTO".

No, this is a special case. The fire station is just beyond the light, diagonally opposite a feeder road. So it’s like a 3-way intersection. When the fire trucks go out, the east-west traffic gets a red light and the feeder street as well (it comes in at an angle). So if the trucks are heading down the feeder street (which they were that time) they have to basically go across 3 lanes going the wrong way, then cross in front of the stopped vehicles on the other side of the intersection and then down the side street. The 2 cars that ran the light had been stopped, and at least one truck and the Chiefs truck had gone. I guess they decided they’d waited long enough and cut in front of the last truck.

They reported on Fox that 3M had done the study. Wow, 3M makes the signage material :)

It would be interesting to see who 3M donated to in campaigns and who and where payola might have been provided.

I agree that a mixture of upper and lower case is easier when reading an entire sentence or paragraph. However it is not so clear for a street sign.

Wall St

W Madison St

WALL ST

W MADISON ST I'd have to say I prefer the all caps but it's a close call. Surely this is a decision best left to local governments.

“Surely this is a decision best left to local governments.”

THAT IS EXACTLY THE POINT! Why does Versailles on the Potomac get to dictate everything to local governments?

I have an idea, but I need a lawyer’s help. Suppose someone, anyone sued a local or state government because it has no authority to enforce its laws, unless Versailles says it is OK. Let’s force the judiciary to decide, once and for all, if Versilles rules, the Constitution is dead. The local and state governments would be foced to defend themselves with the 10th Amendment - or disband.

The battle would be worse than a cat fight.
