This reminds me of how written yellow waring signs were deemed illegal because a lot of people cannot read.

I would think uppercase signs would be a bit better in terms of how quickly people can process the data, and also from the standpoint of working better when signs are partially obscured with snow, dirt, etc.

Good news. The nanny staters are backing off incrementally. This replacement of street signs will not happen due to popular rebellion by cities and counties. The hacks and Tea Party people were united in objecting to this overreach by the useless eaters in DC.

Well, if we don’t need to read the 2,000 plus page bills that Congress passes, why the heck do we need to be able to read something so trivial a street sign?
