My wife and I have a small business with 2 employees. Since we are a LLC and have a little over 250k in sales one of our employees will be fired before the end of the month and the other will be cut to 30 hours a week.

Fire the Democrat.

DEM DUCKS VOTE TO RAISE TAXES
APPLAUSE FOR PELOSI

http://drudgereport.com/

The House voted 234-188 Thursday to pass legislation that would extend only some of the expiring Bush-era tax cuts, sending the bill to the Senate.

Twenty Democrats broke with their party and voted against the bill after 33 had defected in a previous test vote. Most of those who voted with Republicans on the first ballot were members of the centrist Blue Dog Coalition, and many lost their bids to be reelected last month.

Speaker Pelosi gaveled the vote to a close herself, receiving a smattering of applause from Democratic members. The bill extends only the cuts for the middle-class, letting tax breaks end for families earning more than $250,000 per year and individuals making more than $200,000. Congress originally authorized the cuts in 2001 and 2003.

Three Republicans voted with Democrats to renew only the middle-class cuts.

Wouldn't the headline be:

DEMS VOTE TO INCREASE TAXES ON THOSE MAKING OVER $250k AFTER ELECTORS FIRED THEM ON NOV 2?

Sounds like payback to me.

“188 Republicans Vote for Tax Increases on the Middle Class”

Exactly the way the media will spin it. If the bill passes in the Senate, the Rats are good guys for helping the little man. If it does not, the GOP will in effect voted to rescind the tax cuts for those under $200K in income. The Republicans have been triangulated and placed in a lose lose situation. Pelosi and Reid are no fools. They play hardball.

Who is middle class?

That will be an arbitrary, moving target - dependent on the whim of the Marxist ones.

Liberals attempt to answer the question:

If the Bush cuts were only for the rich, how did the house just vote to extend the middle class portion?

As a business owner I just got screwed as all I do is pay taxes and emplyee 200 hard working Americans. Down from about 250 at the peak when business was doing well. Perhaps I need to close my doors and only worry about my family surviving instead of the 200 hard work employees who are trying to support their families.

Would the demorats notice one less American business? I know that answer is no. I am 4th generation in a family business. Do I need the hassles of supporting the gov any more? I do it for my employees and their families. But I wonder why when at the end of the day all I owe is taxes and taxes. Maybe my time in business is up.

Thank you Nancy for helping to destroy my business and the employeement of 200 hard working Americans. You say i’m rich so you want to tax me out of business.

What about all those poor folks on Wall Street who worked so hard scamming convincing Uncle Ben that he really needed to be a good 'ol boy and bail out there bonuses, and now they are going to have to pay taxes.

The RAT’s new infatuation with bipartisanship sure lasted a long time, didn’t it?

Unfortunately, most of our American comrades think the “rich” are the Bill Gates and Ross Perot’s of the world. Like I was telling my kids last night, they have already made their billions and unless they show some sort of income, they don’t pay any new taxes. Ross Perot has most of his money in tax-free municipal bonds.

“Three Republicans, Walter Jones (N.C.), Ron Paul (Texas) and John Duncan (Tenn.), voted with Democrats to renew only the middle-class cuts.”

Jones and Duncan have long overstayed their welcome in Congress, while Ron Paul is an absolute lunatic.
