1. government bureaucrats are unaccountable and work with other people's money not their own. They also do things for political reasons not for economic reasons, not for their own survival. So that right there alone tells you that socialism (government running things) can never work . But that is just one or 2 reason. There are thousands of reasons why socialism can never work.
2. If you all reasd Mises, Hayek, Friedman , Sowell,Rand, you will realize many other reasons why government/socialism can never work. So we have to limit government as much as possible to be efficient to allow capitalism to create prosperity and opportunity , technology and higher living standards.
3. It is obvious that anywhere government expands freedom and prosperity decline. I'm glad that at lesat on this thread most freepers are against this monstrosity called the FCC regulating the Internet.
Boehner needs to come out now, not later, and very publicly let the FCC know that if they dare go thru with this ‘net neutrality’ or any other similar type of freedom killing scheme, they will see their funding disappear immediately come January.
into the valley of electoral death rode the 95 Congressional hopefuls who had publicly vowed to support greater government regulation of the Internet.
IMHO it has been a bloodless coup by the RAT party from within our own shores without a shot being fired.

That pretty much sums it up.

Someone needs to get inventive and create “LiberalBlock.”
All things, Clay, have their price. We must ask if resolution of the technical issues involved here are worth the price that will emerge in other areas.
CA....
It says “Congress shall pass no law”.
It doesn’t say we can’t take it by fiat. :)
Thanks for the link, George. That is fantastic!
We should consider all possibilities. :-)
How long has political bias existed, from within the entire worldwide MSM? From the very beginning. This is no surprise from the FCC. Political correctness makes everything much worse for everybody, while, also, diminishing everything connected to commonsense.
Where's Wikileaks when ya' need 'em? /s
I think we finally understand what the Wikileaks thingy is all about...to browbeat some reluctant Senators...
For sure...I can think of a few things I’d like to say to this Genachowski, it’s evident he’s as corrupt as Pelosi when it comes to openness. In fact he probably learned some of it from her about finalizing everything before the little people are told what they will now do.
“With a straight face, Mr. Genachowski suggested that government red tape will increase the “freedom” of online services that have flourished because bureaucratic busybodies have been blocked from tinkering with the Web.”
Bureaucrat to the interwebz: “Shut up!”
Yes, and someone will do just that.
They can have my internet when they pry it out of my cold dead hands. Corrupt bastards!
has the FCC ask for public comment on these new rules??
I think they have to ask for public comment
