NEW HAVEN Washington Colala says his life feels like a ticking time bomb as he counts down the minutes to Monday, when immigration authorities have ordered him to comply with a deportation order and return to his native Ecuador.
Colala and his lawyers acknowledge that his appeals are virtually exhausted. But they say he should be allowed to stay while he and 10 other immigrants pursue a federal civil rights lawsuit against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the very agency insisting that he leave the county.
"Every day is a little more desperate," Colala said Thursday through an interpreter. Unless ICE relents and allows him to stay temporarily, Colala on Monday will use the airline ticket he recently purchased to return to Ecuador.

I don't see what the problem is.
Colala has four children, and the two youngest were born in the United States. He came to the U.S. to provide them a better life "like all fathers want to do," he said. With that now in doubt, he hopes he'll get a last-minute reprieve.
HE has four children but how many mothers are we talking about???????
What part of “illegal” do people not understand.
Let him file his law suit from his own country. The mail goes both ways.
More fun with illegals, ping
raybar,
I don’t geive a damn how many welfare suckers this illegal fathered here.
Round him, his illegal offspring up and ship em back to whatever craphole they came from.
Enough sucking from the public teet.
Fine. His kids can stay. With the Democratic Child Welfare Department and he can go the hell home. Otherwise, take his illegal chattel home where he came from. We don’t need any more Spanish speaking, gimme gimme gimme dependents.
If he is petitioning for political asylum, this sounds like an odd way to do it.
Latino Leaders Swirl Around Idea of Tequila Party (NOT Satire)

Latino leaders in Nevada and nationwide are quietly debating whether to sever their traditional Democratic ties and form an independent grass-roots political group. The idea, born of frustration over the partys inaction on immigration reform and fears that as a voting bloc theyre a political afterthought, Latino leaders have discussed the idea among themselves locally and in conference calls with colleagues across the country.
I dont know if its going to happen, but theres talk, said Fernando Romero, president of the nonpartisan Hispanics in Politics, Nevadas oldest Hispanic political group. Theres discussion about empowerment of the Latino vote. SNIP Latinos dont have the luxury to try to be islands in and of themselves, Muñoz told the Sun. What we need, given the reality of today, is a new progressive party that is independent but inclusive of all racial and ethnic groups.
If the progressive Democratic caucus, if the progressive third parties can say this isnt working, lets leave and contribute to the building of a multiracial independent party, that would be the perfect nucleus for the eventual development of a vibrant independent force that reflects a diverse culture. Swift justice for anyone who sneaks over our borders and is caught.
I want their assets seized before they're put in front of the firing squad and put in a fund to repay all the wasted money on this frivilous law suit.
GOOD BYE!
America has a immigration program. To bad you deided to do it illegally rather then the simple legal method.
Swift justice for anyone who sneaks over our borders and is caught.

I'm wondering if you and I are related...
Obama is probably peeing on himself with giddiness at this news.
