>I can’t wait to hear another so-called conservative remind me to ignore social issues, because fiscal matters are the only ones that matter.<

Looks like Scott forgot this lesson...

April,2009
Mass. Republican Party Chairman says party will no longer oppose same-sex “marriage”, abortion, other “social issues”

Nov.2010
Mass. Republicans lose ALL statewide & Congressional races

I hope you didn’t unpack yet,RINO!

Remember folks, he’s a Republican who won a seat in a leftist state. Not a good indication of a conservative.

We really had no conservative alternative.

If you are voting in a primary within a liberal stronghold, you support the conservative. When the RINO wins the primary, you consider supporting the RINO.

Remember: The only reason we supported Scott Brown was that he did oppose 0bamaCare. Expecting anything more from a Republican from Mass. is unreasonable.

David fought many battles following God’s lead. What does God want us to do for our military? How do we fight for them in Washington while they fight for us in other countries? Do we call the Senate? Will they listen?

Good points.

Not to mention the fact that the left for decades has deliberately intertwined fiscal spending with social issues so that you can’t attack one without attacking the other. “It’s for the children” is just one example of the intertwining. “Social justice” is another.

Any spending you want to attack has a social aspect to it. They designed it that way.

Yep but my new senator "republican" Mark Kirk, Illinois, will make Snowe/Collins/Brown look down right conservative by comparison.

Brown served his purpose. He gave us hope and that hope turned into hard work which turned into many victories.

No matter what he does he will be defeated in 2012. We are still much better off for his victory, but his state is hopelessly liberal and that is that.

“God and the soldier,All men adore, In time of trouble,Then-no more. For when the fighting is over. and all things are righted. GOD is forgotten. and the soldier is slighted.”
I didn’t write it but find it as true and as relevant today
with this corrupt and evil Congress and enemy in the white house.

Some one in the USAF crunched the numbers and a low SWAG suggests it will cost anywhere from 40-to 50 Million to
begin to “change” our Military to protect the gays. That sounds like it could buy a lot of beans and bullets-a better project
for these fiscal conservatives who want us to ignore the moral
issues.

I still send Senators Udall, and Bennett of Colorado daily updates proving how evil and harmful it will be if America tolerates the repeal of DADT proving Congress in Lame Duck
democratic Party control REFUSES to listen to the men and women in uniform-including Gen.Amos of the USMC— and the
sometimes squishy Mr. Casey of the US Army.(Casey does need to have his spine stiffed sometimes.)

They will not listen— but that in no way affects the command
to speak for those who cannot.

We are admonished, huldah1776, to pray for those in authority over us, for who knows, the Lord might yet draw the wicked into a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Surround our military with the hedge of protection in Psalm 91; take heart in Psalm 37 that the wicked will be vanquished; live in Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.”

2 PETER 3

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-7

1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.

PSALM 22

27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.

2 CHRONICLES 7

14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Amen ...
