We went through this same crap with Bin Laden. Every year Time names some miscreant “Person of the Year” then explains that the title isn’t a valedictory award, but a designation for the person who had the biggest effect on the world for good or bad. Instead of simply changing the name to “Newsmaker of the Year” or “Catalyst of the Year” they court this boring controversy like clockwork every 12 months in a pathetic attempt to generate interest in their dying mag. There is a certain percentage of the population in this country that believe the US Government should not be allowed to have any SECRETS. Their answer is to "steal" the data and then have the NYSLimes print the classified data under the 1st Amendment. What is wrong with the culture in America today? Ass(ange) is NOT the owner of the stolen classified data and so at a minimum he should be civilally prosecuted the same way he would post copywrited songs and movies on the internet. BUT really a firing squad is too good for Ass(ange). Why isn't there a law against printing of classified data?
