South Korean parliament descends into mass brawl
South Korea's politicians descended into a large scale brawl, building a furniture blockade as the government pushed through the 2011 budget.
12:03PM GMT 08 Dec 2010
The 2011 budget will be 309.1 trillion won (£174 billion), slightly smaller than the 309.6 trillion won proposed by the government, the Finance Ministry said in a statement, although it is about six per cent per cent more than this year's budget of 292.8 trillion won.
The defence budget was increased to 31.4 trillion won after North Korea shelled a South Korean island last month, triggering a tense standoff that has drawn in the United States and China. Calling government members of parliament "lapdogs", opposition members from the Democratic Party blockaded parliament offices and the main hall for a second day and parliamentary guards were brought in to restore order.

I will walk through the following series of photos
Stage I: Surge
Ruling party members trying to break through opposition's barrier.
Stage II: Breach
Ruling party members broke the barrier and came into the main hall of legislature.
Stage III: Opposition's Last Stand
They assembled on a podium, featuring protest signs.
Stage IV: big guys arrive
Ruling Party leaders finally enter the hall, overseeing the fights around them.
Stage V: Cleaning up the podium
Opposition members are dragged out by surging ruling party members.
Female members in action
Ruling party female members drag out opposition's female members. A woman wearing glasses and white jacket is a rabid leftwing legislator. She reportedly collapsed and was brought out in a stretcher, but some suspect that she is faking it.

Stick figures like Pelosi and eunuchs like Reid would not survive such.....ah......debate.
Love it. Bring back the duels!

This is when it is good to be in the majority. I fully expect the left to pull such shenanigans if a truly conservative government is ever elected here in the US.
The thought of Maxine Waters or Sheila Jackson Lee throwing a similar hissy fit is simply delicious.

I’d like to see our Republicans drag the Democrats out of the next ‘closed’ meeting they have, kicking and screaming like little spoiled children who are so upset because they didn’t get their way.

It looks like that was a brawl from July 2009 according to the date under the video....entertaining though.

Let me guess the opposition is trying to kowtow to NK by opposing the higher military budget?

Fist fights and turmoil were happening in the US Congress prior to the outbreak of the Civil War. A precursor perhaps.

Great post.
With their knowledge of martial arts, these fights can/should be on pay tv.
The women in the ruling party seem very capable of handling themselve.
I have all ways felt that we need similiar actions in our congress and state legislative bodies. So when one of Nancy Boy’s or Barney’s guys starts their bs and tearing down society, just have a good free for all.
