Wednesday the Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to protest the funeral of Elizabeth Edwards. Edwards, the estranged wife of former presidential candidate John Edwards, died Tuesday after a six-year battle with cancer.

The Westboro Baptist Church sent out a press release condemning Edwards and her family, and announcing the group's plan to protest her funeral at the Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A left-wing “church” I could not care less about protests a funeral I could not care less about.

In its paragraphs long press info on the Edwards' funeral protest, WBC includes this:

"This witch spent her life in defiance and disobedience to God, and blasphemed Him with her dying breath. She received multiple warnings and opportunties to repent. After God smacked her by killing her son, she thought she'd show Him, pumping herself full of hormones to have more kids. God gave her two more children, and she despised them like she did the first two, raising them to believe God is a liar."

It's a change of pace for them not to mention gays.

Anyone ever figure out how these morons ravel all over the country? Who pays for all this? Where’s the money come from?

The Supreme Court ruling on this case (expected in the spring) can’t come soon enough. In my opinion, the outdoor area of a funeral should be treated as a church, a building, that can’t be entered by just anyone during a funeral. Stop these wackos.

“Where’s the money come from?”

An excellent question. This bunch is a prime example of psychotics claiming to be a Christian theology. Their “morality” is self appointed and justified by cherry picking biblical passages to hide behind while ignoring Christ's message. They are as scary as the jihadists, and possibly more dangerous.

Depends on the job. But the $200 one is likely to get caught and rat you out. If you want the job done right it starts at about $10,000.

Indeed, Christ did not chastise the Centurion for being a soldier, but marveled at his faith.....

Christ, and only Christ will change swords into plow shares...only at his return.

Luk 7:2 And a certain centurion's bondman who was dear to him was ill and about to die;
Luk 7:3 and having heard of Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, begging him that he might come and save his bondman.
Luk 7:4 But they, being come to Jesus, besought him diligently, saying, He is worthy to whom thou shouldest grant this,
Luk 7:5 for he loves our nation, and himself has built the synagogue for us.
Luk 7:6 And Jesus went with them. But already, when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent to him friends, saying to him, Lord, do not trouble thyself, for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof.
Luk 7:7 Wherefore neither did I count myself worthy to come to thee. But say by a word and my servant shall be healed.
Luk 7:8 For *I* also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers, and I say to this one , Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my bondman, Do this, and he does it .
Luk 7:9 And Jesus hearing this wondered at him, and turning to the crowd following him said, I say to you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith.

Yesterday, there was a post the the Patriot Riders will be there to give cover. No family deserves this. If God Forbid, it was my family member, I would be in Jail and a few of them would be in the hospital.

Three or so years ago the scum showed up here in Reno at a soldiers funeral. There were easily a 1,000 patriots there to protect the family. One of the dirt bags got onto private property and got in the face of the mother. One of the PGR leaders took him down. Before I could get there there were 40 PGR's and friends of mine pounding the snot out of the guy. When the Sheriff's Deputies finally decided to break it up they moved the scum to the street where they were surrounded ten deep with patriots with signs bigger than theirs. The family did not have to see them when the procession left. What they saw was a street lined with patriots and flags. Closet have come to outright homicide in many years. Oh and the PGR guy is now one of my close friends.

Great “cause” for a flash mob. And that should be happening every time these people show up. Were they to show up in my area, I’d attend the “mob meeting.” Not to necessarily hurt them, but enough people could scare the hell out of them.

Ping me to that, would you?

I’ve seen some commentary from a conservative on another forum. While I don’t agree with anything Phelps is doing here, what she has done is worth re-hashing and summarizing for those who may not be aware. More Dem legacy.

According to second hand information in this area the Westboro Baptist Church protests are being handled by those in charge of the various cemeteries as follows:

The "church" members and their children are isolated as far as possible from the decease's family. Out of sight and out of hearing if possible. The local sheriff is ask to help in this regard.

Never, never are the members or the young children with them are to be touched in any way.

Groups like the Patriot Riders seem to help contain these people.

There appear to be ways that are planned in advance that keep them away from the grieving family and other mourners.

These plans are not in writing, but the information is passed around.

OBGYN doctors should have protested instead given how she joined her husband as shyster lawyers using fraudulent “science” to win tens of millions in lawsuits and drive innocent OBGYNs out of business. Elizabeth Edwards was a despicable human being well before she became lionized as a wife and then cancer victim.

If this bunch hollers and makes a lot of noise during these “demonstrations” at funerals, one would think that a charge of disturbing the peace would be in order. That used to be valid.

.

these Westboro clowns are unbelieveable ...

it's safe to say that they're simple MEDIA-WHORES ... just trying to get TV camera face-time ... like Chucky Schumer ...

Someone will terminate (with extreme prejudice) the whole Westboro circus team someday ...

It won't be a moment too soon ...

I was wondering about Elizabeth Edwards when she got such an aggressive form of Breast Cancer. I have heard that there is a link between Breast Cancer and the abortion of a first pregnancy. It would be very sad if E. E. did not turn to God before she died.

Some think it was the aggressive hormone treatments during her IVF pregnancies.

You know for a fact that Elizabeth Edwards had an abortion or are you assuming anyone with breast cancer had one?
