OUR COVENANT WITH GOD
Abram accepted the covenant God offered him, "I Am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless. I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers." Abram fell face-down, and God said to him, "As for me, this is my covenant with you: you will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram: your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations." (Genesis 17:1-5).
Like Abraham, we also have a covenant with God; we are asked by God to "walk before Him" loving one another as He has loved us. When we are in covenant with God, we humbly submit ourselves, innocent from self-centered interest, to obey His commands to love our God with all of our being, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Fulfilling the covenant with God, Abraham received the blessing of familial prosperity. God's desire is to grant prosperity to each of our lives. Are we faithful in our love of God and each other?

Well, it’s rather cold this morning. Forecast to go down to 18 degrees tonight. Really good sleeping weather.

It’s that global warming thingy. 300 manatees died due to the freezing cold Atlantic waters. The Strawberry crop is being sprayed with water to protect them from sub freezing wind chill. An Al gore is nowhere to be found.

Wishing The Canteen A Blessed Sunday
Almighty and Eternal God, Protect our military as they discharge
their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep
them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home safely to the
people who love them and to the gratitude of the American people.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Yes, Murfie is fine as ever. She did like the cooler weather this morning when we went walking. It was 42 and windy, and I just wore a long sleeved shirt. Big mistake when I had to head back into the wind.

Pork dinner is always a hit!
I’ll bring a loaf and some beer.
Cold rain and flooding is never a hit.
