Should be some good ones next week as the total lunar eclipse is less than a day away from the solstice. Good push/pull gravity from the moon and sun.

The New Madrid fault line extends down into Arkansas. I believe Guy is about 100 miles from the fault line.
Could be related to Ok. Could be anything really.

From your link:
Researchers, however, are quick to point out that there is a history of earthquake swarms in Arkansas that predate the widespread gas-drilling. In 1982-83, and again in 2001, swarms were centered near Enola, less than 10 miles southeast of Guy.
But don't tell the anti-fracking crowd, I'm sure they will be using this as yet more 'proof' of the evils of fracking wells.

It’s just some construction work on the Underground City designed to house the Ruling Elite should the ‘worst’ happen.

With over 400 earthquakes this year in THAT area alone, how in the hell can they not factor the "fracking" into the scenario?
Good luck with the Mayor trying to buy Earth Quake insurance. No company worth their while will insure anyone in that town.

One thing I hate about Arkansas is the county naming. Conway is not in Conway County, but is in Faulkner County. Searcy County doesn't have Searcy...Searcy is in White County, some 50 miles away.
These seem to be a bit centered about where there has been a bit of activity historically, perhaps a bit north of it.

They're shallow, but also in the area of historical seismicity.
There are far bigger reasons to be wary of fracking...it really seems that this is a red herring, though I am not offering that as a professional opinion. :-)

It's far from the main New Madrid danger area. This is a more localized condition, rather than directly from the New Madrid system, from what I can tell.
See the dots to the east...they are New Madrid events. The star is the most recent event (Dec 7).
Note how the Seismic Hazard Map shows the New Madrid to the east, and this is pretty far off it.
Note, however, I am not a seismologist.

Nice maps. If I had the time and I wasn’t so lazy I would look for some GIS data and play more with this. But I have been spending a lot of time shoveling snow this week!
