Nogales Border Patrol agents were involved in a shoot out on Sunday North West of the city. The BP agents responded to a sensor that was tripped near the U.S./Mexico border and were greeted with fire from alleged illegal aliens...the illegal aliens were smuggling drugs and were armed with AK-47s. Once the Border Patrol arrived on the scene the illegals fired their weapons and BP agents returned fire. There were no injuries...Nogales Border Patrol spokesperson, Mario Escalante said the incident is under investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) is looking into the confrontation. “The shooting incident happened, but it is still part of an ongoing investigation so I can not provided further details..."

In a separate incident outside Tucson, Arizona, a man’s body was found with an apparent gun shot wound and his body set on fire in a known drug smuggling corridor.

A spokesman from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said they received a phone call from Border Patrol agents who saw a vehicle drive into Ironwood Forest National Monument area near the location of the body. The BP agents said the truck looked suspicious and it didn't have any lights on in the early morning hours.

"They heard what sounded like a gunshot and then saw flames originating from the area. The vehicle left at a high rate of speed on Reservation Road. Border Patrol followed (the truck) but eventually lost sight of the vehicle..."

The deceased and burned body was identified by Pima County Sheriff’s Homicide team as Nael Alfredo Garcia-Moreno.

Expect intense scrutiny from the DOJ as to the Border Patrol’s response.

Expect a stern warning from the DOJ telling US citizens to avoid this area.

I was thinking the BP agents need to spend more time at the range. This should have produced a head-count.

I suspect there already is one. Large parts of southern Arizona are already off limits for Americans, but not Mexican criminals. Our government no longer regards them as US territory.

Y’know, the whole reason we have a military, and the main reason we have a federal government, is to protect our borders.

Maybe we should take all those guys out of Afghanistan, Germany, and quite a few other places, and put them on our borders. DIRECTLY on our boarders.

I mean complete with all the technology, including UAV’s.

Seems logical. Or am I missing something?

Down here this is not news. It happens alot more than the news reports, especially in Santa Cruz County. This happened right were the National Guard is supposedly deployed to help ‘secure’ the border.

I still haven't seen any NG out in the sticks. They must have a really good camouflage job going.

Yeah, I'll tell you what you're missing: the support of the 35% of the population who actively support this ongoing invasion and the support of the 30% of nimrod morons who don't even know it's taking place.

That leaves only 35% of the populace. And we back you 100%.

But we're not enough. We're currently outnumbered by traitors and morons.

There's nothing we can do about the traitors but we've got to try to educate some of the morons.

The way Bush did. Putting BP guards who did their job in prison for 11 years.

“Seems logical. Or am I missing something?”

You see millions of illegals swarming into our country bringing violence, drugs and the financially needy. Democrats see votes which translate into political power. And they’re in charge.

The last time a BP agent actually shot somebody, the agent ended up in prison for 11 years.

There are 35,000 US troops on the Mexican border in El Paso at Fort Bliss, and another 7,000 or so 15 miles from the Mexican border in southern Arizona at Fort Huachuca, but NONE OF THEM ARE BEING USED TO GUARD OUR BORDERS.

The DOJ will want to know why the BP did not provide the illegal drug smugglers with hot meals, fresh water and an escort to their customers.

>>NONE OF THEM ARE BEING USED TO GUARD OUR BORDERS.<<

So, out of curiosity, what are they being used for? Are these training facilities?

Ramos and Compean were sent to prison for only wounding an illegal smuggler.

Can you imagine what they would do if you actually killed one.

Jan Brewer needs to form her own Border Patrol and give the Fed BP agents ONE chance to join it. If they refuse, they
NEVER get the offer again. The Arizona Border Patrol should stay just the other side of Fed jursidiction and stay there.

I agree with you.

How can anybody support foreign wars and spending $800 billion on national security on mostly defenses abroad, yet we spend basically nothing on defending the territorial integrity of the US, which is first and foremost the duty of a national government?

Yes, liberals are nuts and traitors, but conservatives also need to get their priorities straight.

Our own borders are more important than Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, South Korea, Japan or chasing Muzzies in caves.

These border patrol agents should be IMMEDIATELY arrested and summarily jailed for any assault against innocent Third World drug smugglers.
