The science "consensus" has not only collapsed, it has raised the white flag and confessed that the skeptics were right all along. I think we can stick a fork in the climate change agenda. A few nuts will continue to wander the streets, mumbling to themselves and each other. But as a significant political agenda, I think it's over. I sure hope it is.

Question for the Global Warming doomsayers: If the earth suddenly started cooling and we feared the onset of another ice age, do you think we could fend it off by driving our cars more and using more electricity in our homes? (Or in that case would the cooling somehow be a man-made crisis requiring massive government programs to interfere in our lives and transfer wealth to the “underprivileged.”)
When the Soviet Union collasped, the communists moved to the “environmental” movement as a vehicle to exert their control over people and re-distribute the wealth.

I think it’s over, too. For once, the “instant gratification/no long term memory” aspect of the American public has come back to bite the global warming crowd in the rectum. They raised cries of alarm that we were all doomed...and then nothing happened. People became quickly bored or indifferent to their cries because...nothing happened. Oh, sure, the alarmists said all the doom was going to happen in the next 20-100 years, but the “Dancing with the Stars” mentality of Americans requires manifestation of predictions in a one-half hour TV episode, or at most within the confines of a regular TV season. It just didn’t happen.
And yes, I know weather is not climate. But I’ve been around long enough to know weather and climate cycles, and can remember the “doomsday” predictions of a generation ago. Back in the 1970’s, they were predicting the “coming Ice Age” and yes, it WAS cold back then. I remember -20 temperatures and people driving trucks up and down the river (which hasn’t happened since). Then it got warm...and you know what? It’s COLD now. It’s really cold and it’s here at least 3 weeks earlier than normal.
Whether the climate alarmists want to admit it, the warm period is over and we are heading back into a cold cycle. All driven by a 20 or 40 year solar cycle. Their window has closed, people are cold, and just plain don’t care any more.
And to Algore’s crowd all I can say is: Well boo frickety hoo.

So what will the next global crisis be? They’ve done overpopulation, ice age, pollution, ozone, and AGW. So what’s next? They have to have something. You can’t get everyone to surrender their sovereignty without some crisis.
There are a few odd ball theories that never caught one, like electromagnetic wave killing us all, but I don’t think they can resurrect them.
We need to hang AGW around the Left/Greens neck for the next 50 years. Its not enough to defeat it. We need to use that defeat to castrate the Enviro-Leftists.
Before '89 actually. The KGB was fully engaged in promoting the Green Revolution during the 70's. If bore fruit for them as the core of the anti-nuke, anti-American, rallies in the 1980's.
After the USSR collapsed and the communists slid further into the green mantle. It was a way of disguising who they were.
Communists, marxists, Maoists and assorted leftists can never be defeated. They will constantly reappear in some new form, just when you think you have them vanquished. If “climate change” is finally killed, those whose gravy train is threatened will find some new radical left agenda to rally behind, just to keep the money coming.

Apparantly, it will be another greenhouse gas (or liquid, or solid). So-called DiHydrogen Oxide. As evidence, consider articles and youtubes from COP15 of delegates flocking to sign the petition to ban it.
