HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a store owner shot and killed three suspects during an attempted robbery of his jewelry store.

Police were called to Castillo Jewelry on Canal Street and North Hagerman Street around 2pm after two customers had entered the store inquiring about some jewelry. A third customer entered with a gun, then stated it was a robbery.

The two customers then pulled guns and pushed the owner's wife to a back room, tying her up. As they tried to force the owner back as well, the owner was able to pull a handgun and shoot and kill one robber. He then pulled a shotgun that killed the remaining two suspects.

The part where he produces the shotgun is my favorite part, but an excellent tale all-in-all.

Oddly enough, in the story they are described as “customers”. I guess this is an exception to the rule, “The customer is always right.”

As heart-warming as a Dickens tale.

Good! They touch the wife they die!
The left hates this. In lefty-la-la land they want the poor downtrodden victim crook to waltz right in and take whatever he wants from the eeeevvvviiiillll oppressor capitalist pig.

I’d say that the perps he shot with the shotgun need to pull themselves together.

This man should be given the key to the city.

The perps' grandmas say: "They were such good boys. The proprietor had no right to take the law into his own hands. He should have let the police handle it after he and his wife were murdered."

Now THAT is impressive. Give the owner the keys to the city and an award.

I love a good gun control thread.

Three kills in a confined location is exceptional. The shooter likely thinks “exceptional” is somewhat less the proper description of his action at this moment.
