Chicago - On Wednesday, Chicago mayoral candidate James Meeks said that only African-Americans should be able to participate in affirmative action programs-- and that Hispanics, Asians, and women should be excluded.

While Meeks is obnoxious, he’s right. When AA was first proposed, it was ONLY for blacks-as a payback for slavery. It was only expanded to make it palatable to other “groups”.
By and large, I think he’s right. That was the clear intent of the post-civil war amendments. They have been goobered up badly by the Supreme Court in it’s attempt to control almost everything. Limiting those amendments to wiping out slavery and all it’s side effects would actually have prevented much mischief by the Supremes in the last fourty or fifty years.
The non-partisan slate is a conglomeration of characters right out of central casting. Weirdos, freakazoids, con artists, ethnic victims, socialists and commies abound.
Think of the loony Rev-rund Meeks, the hard-core lefty Rahm Emanuel and the sticky-fingered, low IQ Carol-Mostly-Fraud squared. Them's yer cherces.
Actually, Rahm is beginning to look like George Washington in comparison to the others in the vaudville show. At least he can speak coherently and apparently knew what he was doing in the White House for two years, however nefarious it was.
The Chicago media has decided Rahm will be the next mayor. They're not vetting or investigating his creds at all. They're absorbed in their own titillation over whether or not he's been a legal Chicago resident this past year as the election law says he must be.
The Chicago media hookers are running with the residency story at the expense of looking for any skeletons in Rahm's closet. They won't even bother looking between now and election because they don't know if he has a legal closet in the city or anywhere else, for that matter. And they don't care.
For the lord god, Emanuel, cometh.....hallelujah!

This contention isn’t new, but has been brought to the forefront by the disturbing (to some) revelation that Hispanics has passed blacks in population by 2000; this wasn’t anticipated for at least another ten years. As their numbers swell, they are displacing blacks in nearly every facet of American life: the workplace, the urban areas, colleges, and prisons. Nobody cares for the black vote anymore; the Hispanic voters (and consumers) are the hot ticket now. As far as white women being included as “minorities”, that is just silly; blacks should be furious about that. Women’s groups are concerned because college classes are approaching the 40:60 male to female ratio (and they fear this will be used as rationale to end their “protected” status); somehow 41:59 is acceptable to them (until they want to take time off work to start a family, and realize they can’t). As long as white males are criminalized, I don’t give a sh!t about what happens to anyone else.
Wow, our cities and election processes are just so completely corrupt. No wonder we’re screwed.

***Millions of dollars in missing money for contracts.
***A flat-broke city at the moment.....and for years to come. Huge budget deficits with ever-decreasing revenue to meet the city's needs.
***The election of Barack Obama as president. The name "Daley" was Numero Uno in Chicago for half-a century. Now, The Man to See" is Barak Obama, the kid from the 'hood. None of the Daleys have ever, or will ever, countenance someone being equal to or above them....ever.
***His wife's illness.
