Who Killed DREAM? The Tea Party Did (1 vote away from Amnesty!)
Newsweek ^ | Dec 19, 2010 | Mickey Kaus

1) It was "closer than it looked"—not because Harry Reid had 59 votes secretly locked up if he could only have gotten one more (though that's possible) but because if one or two senators had ostentiously switched in the weeks leading up to the vote then "at least three other votes would have gone with them and we would have lost."

We should really appreciate the victory. This is defining moment in amnesty fight.

1 Senate vote was the difference between 100M illegals / new dem voters and the current state. Even RINOs votes against this (Brown, Kirk, Maine sisters etc). Without Tea Party this win would not have been possible!

Reinforcements are arriving soon and we should be safe in the Congress and can actually start offensive. Let Obama veto or Senate Dems to vote against border security before 2012!

Manchin was scared to death about DADT and DREAM ACT.

This should be good campaign material in 2012: “Coward”.

Those RINOs came up huge yesterday. I’ve made this comment a couple times now but they really did. They have and will pi$$ us off on other votes (e.g., DADT) from time to time but even the Maine Girls are nowhere close to be a Joe Liberalman in their voting records. I’m truly thankful to them. Props to everyone calling in the days and weeks leading up to this vote yesterday.

Funny, given that Manchin turned the race and won on that one macho ad. In office, he’s a coward.

Let all the illegals move into the areas that those that voted for it represent. These politicians vote for their own reasons, not for what 80% of people of this nation want.

We won the battle again but it was close, we have to stop this for once and for all to win the war.

That is true, however, without the organization [women developed the tea parties, BTW] of the Tea Party it wouldn’t have mattered if it had solely been the American people. Until the Tea Party Organization and the fear it has brought to DC...we’d have lost this.

I have been on the immigration issue about 6 years and it has been a ROUGH RIDE to get Americans to see what the full ramifications are of demographic warfare. Many were so programmed to think of others first. Immigration fighters were completely isolated in many ways especially as they were drowned out in the R-party by biz interests. Then notice how the TEA PARTY were able to quickly equate the spending taxing problem into a lost future..etc. It took awhile for them to realize that the open borders excess is one and the same.
The “hunters” will become the “hunted”.

"We haven’t won until they are out of session."

True for this battle. But for the war, we haven't won until both the foreign invasion & occupation has been ended.

That means no more Amnesties/Legalizations! The 1986 Amnesty/Legalization proved conclusively that Americans can never allow those who entered legally to legalize without encouraging more of the same.

those who entered legally = those who entered illegally
