Only if the cat looked like Julie Newmar in 1966, pal.

Then you would have kept your mouth shut.

Normally I would ask them what they are taking and would they share but in this case I think I will pass. Major bad trip dude.

If they weren't such a bunch of homicidal manics I could feel sorry for them. The world inside their head must be a very sad and frightening place to be.

I think he’s been told by his lawyers to go for the insanity defense.

Yes, watching a bunch of zonked-out jihadis freaking out on drugs would be a lot of fun, huh.

*snort* “A cat tried to penetrate me!” Right. Just drop that next tab, and everything will be all right.

From personal experience, no cat has tried to rape anyone I have ever known. [tries to look at my own brain]

No way would I live in their heads - I don’t like how the landlord has kept the property.

Growing up in New Orleans I had to climb a tree once to get away from a neighbor’s mad-humping Irish Setter. It never occurred to me that someone had cast a Voodoo spell.

If this is legitimate, these people are either mentally ill or demon possessed. As a Christian, I am inclined to believe demons are involved, but obviously that is not something that can be proved.

I don't think this is deliberate lying. Nobody with a half-ounce of brain matter left would seriously think Americans would believe our soldiers are casting spells on people and sending cats to sexually penetrate our prisoners.

For a few minutes this morning, I thought about sending a request to Army Public Affairs asking the commandant of the Military Police School to comment on whether we train cats to sexually penetrate Gitmo inmates and use spells to convince them to urinate in their milk.

I quickly decided that if I send that request, once PAO gets done laughing, they won't bother to forward the media request on the grounds that Col. Visser has better things to do with his time than respond to nonsense. And they'd be right.

I do hope this thread gets into the hands to Gitmo guards so they have a good laugh.

***POSSIBLE FRAUD ALERT***

This is an article from 2010. It's at least a third-hand source, not firsthand. Do we have a link to the actual al-Jazeera article, or just this item from a blog called “Weasel Zippers” reprinting an article from MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute)?

The original MEMRI link has this note: “Copies of articles and documents cited, as well as background information, are available on request. MEMRI holds copyrights on all translations. Materials may only be used with proper attribution.”

Due to copyright issues, we probably ought to note that the original link is here: http://www.memritv.org/clip_transcript/en/2730.htm

If anybody plans to cite this as evidence or use it for any serious purpose, contacting MEMRI at memri@memri.org
would probably be a good idea to get the original source document if it is not on the internet anyplace.

Once, when I was sleeping – on the floor, not on a bed – I suddenly felt that a cat was trying to penetrate me.

"Did you try to do that, Mr. Tinkles? Bad kitty..."

Somehow I think that the Gitmo guards would be able to
relate some of their own experiences that would show
the real insanity of these people.

A friend works for Mr. Cheney. I emailed him the picture. She says the VP loves it!

Thanks and be well.

I live and work outside Fort Leonard Wood, the home of the Military Police School. Trust me, I've heard stories.

However, this one about being sexually penetrated by a cat is far and away the wildest.

Maybe somebody else, but not me.

First, I'm not good enough.

Second, an article about feline sexual attacks on Gitmo inmates is something that belongs on “news of the weird,” not a media award list.

Third and most important, I don't have the time. I do have a wall of state-level awards from prior newspapers, but serious award-winning reporting at the national level usually requires the ability to spend weeks and sometimes months doing nothing but research work. That simply cannot happen in a small media environment.

While my work has been profiled by Editor & Publisher magazine and I was a finalist for the Religion Newswriters Association 2010 national reporting award along with reporters for CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Washington Times, and a number of smaller newspapers which are well-known for their religion coverage, I don't even have a set of articles good enough to enter this year in that competition. Being a finalist in this year's religion newswriting award for the 2010 calendar period was a fluke and it won't happen again anytime soon.

Lots of **REALLY** important stories are happening at Fort Leonard Wood... it has long since upgraded from being a small basic training post into becoming the home of the Engineer, Chemical and MP schools — major parts of training for the War on Terror. If Fort Leonard Wood were located near St. Louis or Kansas City it would be getting as much attention as places like Fort Bragg, but our local media are simply too small to give the post the attention it deserves, and Missouri's major media are located 90 minutes to two hours away.

I do not know the current Military Police School commandant well on either a personal or a professional level, but I do run into all three of the school commandants from time to time at various events. This story is weird enough that I may bring it up when I see the MP School commandant... but I'm guessing he's known about this for a long time and thinks it's as funny as most of us do. Some allegations are so far beyond the pale that they say more about the person alleging than about the people accused.
