Trusted Traveler Program Sparks Fears That Mexican Drug Cartels Could Bypass U.S. Airport Security
Fox News ^ | December 20, 2010 | Jana Winter

Under the program, Mexicans who have undergone background checks and are deemed low security risks will be able to fly into major U.S. cities and breeze through customs without being questioned by U.S. Customs agents.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and her Mexican counterparts announced their intent to roll out the program two weeks ago, trumpeting it as evidence of increased information sharing and law enforcement collaboration between the countries.

The program is an expansion of an existing trusted traveler program, the Global Entry Program, which was launched in 2008 and expedites pre-approved passengers through the airport customs and security process when they arrive in the U.S.

The program is designed to weed out low-risk passengers and enable authorities to zero in on those who may be more likely to pose a threat.

But critics say Mexico's drug cartels will quickly learn how to exploit loopholes in the plan, and they point to the recent arrests of two pre-vetted "trusted travelers" caught trying to smuggle marijuana and other contraband into the U.S. through a Texas border checkpoint.

Sheriff Larry Dever of Cochise County, Ariz., says drug cartels could recruit Mexicans with clean backgrounds to attain trusted traveler status, and then use them to smuggle drugs and other contraband into the U.S.

“We know even on this side of the border that drug cartels recruit people to apply for jobs with Customs and Border Protection, Immigration — they keep them clean so they pass background checks,” he said.

First, Janet you are a darling you know. /s Second, then I demand that my wife be given trusted status since she flies out of the country once a year on orders from the United States Navy, I feel it is in an insult that she has to constantly wait in line and be searched upon re-entry to the nation she serves. And if they want this program to fly they need to start something like that for us Americans who want to fly around locally and maybe put an end to all of this TSA nonsense. Of course that would make too much sense.

It seemes designed for ‘special’ people to overrun our security system. The only special is hispanic. If my long lost cousin from vomit-in-your-mouth said “hey”... well, I don’t know. He is an alien because he is not southern hispanic.

First, Mohammedans get a pass, despite the fact that it was/is responsible for terror attacks. Then it was members of Congress and their staffs. Now, it is Mexican drug cartels. Who’s next on the list for trusted status, child rapists?

Meanwhile, Granny gets groped and 3 year old Johnny is stripped searched. All because they are American. And we silently accept it.

Trusted Traveler Status to travelers from a country that cannot trust it’s own police force or military.

Some “trusted” person in Mexico allowed 140 drug dealers to walk out of one of their prisons just last week.Just walked out the front gate.

I wonder how much Janet and/or the Obama administration is getting paid by the Mexican drug cartels to implement this “trusted traveler program”. There I said it - nothing else makes sense.

Yes, of course, like those dastardly Catholic nuns and priests, airline pilots, senior citizens of non-Muslim and non-Hispanic origin, WASP families traveling together for vacation, anyone identified as a member of the U.S. military, rabbis, and American males 18 to 45 years of age who appear to be non-Muslim and non-Hispanic. IOW, Americans who the feds see as those most likely to revolt against its policies and programs put in place to assist the real enemies of America in taking this country down.

The ballot box will not fix this. We have just had Tea Party candidates vote to repeal DADT. Someone else on FR wrote that it was time to investigate what kind of "orientation" freshmen Congressmen and women receive when they get to Washington, DC. Who does it and what does it consist of? It seems every candidate who campaigns as a conservative and is elected by the people gets suborned once they arrive in DC.

“Trusted Traveler Program Sparks Fears That Mexican Drug Cartels Could Bypass U.S. Airport Security”

But that’s the whole idea! Dissolving the borders and selling lots of drugs are both high on the agenda of The New World Order controllers.

The drugs keep people from noticing what the government is doing while adding billion$ to the NWO coffers.

You’re special if your from Mexico...

You’re REALLY special, though, if you are a communist or Muslim.

So what's the problem?

Cartel members pose no threat. All they do is provide the green stuffing for the fat pockets of our corrupt politicians. It's a way we can repatriate some of our foreign dollars hard working Mexicans sent down there.

It's not like they're terrorists or killers or anything dangerous like that, is it?

Partners don’t get paid, they SHARE in the profits. The only reason we need this program is because all the publicity surrounding the AZ corridor, That single corridor of “FEDERALLY PROTECTED LAND” carries 50% of ALL Controlled Substances coming in to the US. We just simply need alternatives route of transportation, if we are to Keep the DRUG WAR in play.

You would have to ask TheRevolution1776 since it was his question. But me personally, I will primarily demand this to my elected representatives to take it up to the CIC. I would also demand to whoever will listen in the armed forces.
