BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- A man who dressed up as Santa Claus was kicked out of a mall in Boynton Beach. Larry Lester said he wanted to spread some Christmas cheer.
Lester said he put on his Santa suit after doing some shopping at the Boynton Beach Mall Wednesday night. Mall security asked him to leave after receiving complaints from families in line to see the official Santa.

"I enjoy seeing the kids tell me what they want for Christmas and they get excited seeing Santa Claus," Lester said.

You gotta point, especially in this day and age of liability mania. The mall couldn’t afford the risk of a rogue Santa who might do who-knows-what operating on its property.
We only shop at malls that have contracted Santas from bonded employment agencies, which are insured. In fact, contracted and bonded Santas at reputable established malls have undergo criminal background checks, so you don’t have to worry too much about Santa groping the little kids.
Things have really gone off the deep end if a mall can be held liable for a claim against a freelance Santa Claus.
“Daddy, Daddy! Why are there *TWO* Santas?!?”
