Ever notice how liberals like to spend money...particularly other people's money?
If you've ever found yourself engaged in debate with a liberal in an attempt to convince him that government spending is out of control you know it's often an exercise in frustration. This is especially true when your liberal invokes his holier-than-thou conviction that the supposed good he is intent on imposing upon the world - both domestically and internationally - must trump any financial considerations you may introduce into the debate.
Well, fret no more. Here's a surefire formula to stop any liberal dead in his tracks: a series of 4 questions that every liberal must be asked. It involves a few mathematical exercises, the effects of which are guaranteed to negate whatever Keynesian psycho-babble regular reading of Paul Krugman's New York Times column may have infected a liberal's neuronal functioning. I have found this bottom-line number crunching to be the best form of deprogramming for whatever Kool-Aid the Obamanomics crowd has been ingesting.
The Four Questions
Here's how it works. Take out a sheet of lined paper (legal yellow pad, preferably) and a pen. Number the top four lines of the page 1 through 4 down the left hand side. Hand the page to your liberal and ask him if he would kindly indulge you: would he answer the following four questions? Then proceed to ask them, in order. Let him write down each answer before proceeding to the next question.
The four questions are:

There is zero chance of avoiding a total meltdown no matter who is elected. I am planning escape and survival.
Suffering is coming. But we are still trying to avoid or delay it. Bad mistake.
But Americans seem to be unwilling to make sacrifices. Take Social Security, for instance. It doesn't work. The mathematical model makes no sense, and the failure is quite inevitable. But I see freepers every day saying "I paid in to it, now I want what's mine." Well, guess what? The government screwed you. Screwed me too.
Social Security and a whole bunch of other entitlements are just a scam, and at some point we really are going to wake up and say, "Oh, we don't honor that expectation any more. Sorry." And I say the sooner, the better.
Liberals also can’t seem to admit that they have no problem with rich liberals or letting rich liberals keep their money.
But mention that ‘someone’ is rich, and the liberals go berzerk screaming that ‘the rich’ need ‘to pay’.
(New York.. Mr Weiner insisting that money I earn shouldn’t go to my family when I croak... but any money he earns? Guaranteed the duck lipped creep would be perfectly okay with it going to whatever spawn he designates or crowns his heir.)
Getting back on track, total monetary collapse is coming, and the Dems are okay with it.
“Tough Tony” doesn’t give a damn...he knows he is the fair-haired punkboy of NY Democrat politics and the heir apparent for Mayor of NYC once Mike the Mosque Builder hits the road.
Great article, thanks.
Too bad we can’t send Bloomy down the West Side Elevated in a heavy truck.

This is what I ask my liberal friends. “Do you have an insurance policy?” Who is the beneficiary? When do you plan on changing the beneficiary to the Government?
When they tell me it is different I ask how so? Then I get called a racist and I listed to too much Rush.
I agree. How long do you think we have?
I had a discussion with a liberal Methodist minister during the Holidays and, when I tried to explain to him the financial crisis we are in, all he could do was sputter, in very general terms, about greed and charity.
I then realized that there is only one way that liberals will see the light of day...their personal sh!t must hit the fan.
What you describe is part of what Rush calls “The chickification of America.”
The US gov does have vast holdings of land, buildings, equipment, weapons, etc. (h*ll, even the electromagnetic spectrum!) and I will gladly accept this real estate in lieu of fiat money.
I also had a discussion with some liberal Christians over the holiday. They felt it was our Christian duty to provide free health care for the poor. I don’t disagree that Christians should take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. However, I don’t see how it became Caesar’s responsibility to do the Lord’s work.
I must admit, liberal Christians have it easy. Just a few minutes in the voting booth voting for progressive, social justice candidates, and their work is done.
Forty acres and a mule sounds good to me. I want to be self-sufficient. I don’t want to owe the government anything, and I don’t want the government to owe me anything either.
Social Security and a whole bunch of other entitlements are just a scam, and at some point we really are going to wake up and say, “Oh, we don’t honor that expectation any more. Sorry.” And I say the sooner, the better.
Cutting this program or that program while the Marxists, banksters and corporate welfare queens and foreigners are shaking us down is stupid.
Good idea! So we should all write our taxes off as charity.
I’m for revolution. The Constitution works — but the government that we have today does not. We need really drastic change, and I have no expectation that “casting our vote responsibly” is going to make any difference at all. The system is just too broken.
The four questions are:
1)What is total spending of the federal budget?
2)What is the federal deficit?
3)What is the national debt?
4)What was the most recent interest payment on the national debt?
If the Liberal is discussing passing a particular bill, I’d add two more questions:
5) Have you read this bill?
6) Have you contributed your OWN money to fight the problem you claim the bill addresses?
