Rangel on Hardball: 'Republicans Are Scared to Death of the Tea Party' [VIDEO]

Charlie Rangel appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews this morning and he seemed to think that Republicans will have a hard time fending off some of their more radical Tea Party members.

The first test, he noted, would come next spring when Congress must decide whether or not to lift the debt ceiling. If an increase in the current debt limit of $14.3 trillion does not pass, it would suggest the country may not meet its obligations and could shake the world financial system and could lead to a government shutdown. The matter is usually routine, but Tea Partiers have vowed to limit government spending.

"If they don't do it the whole government collapses, and what they would be doing is saying that government should borrow more than 14 trillion dollars. So that will be the first big test," Rangel said.

"I want to see how they are going to sell that."

**SNIP**

"We have so many moderate Republicans that are scared to death of the Tea Party pushing them right over the cliff," he said. "The Tea Baggers set the standard...the best Republicans are going to be which ones are following the Tea Baggers and that's a rough road to do."

Funny coming from Chuck “Che” Rangle.

The Democrat Party over the past four years has completely capitulated to the Communist wing of the Democrat Party.

So, sorry Charlie but there is another reason why you idiots lost as much as you did in 2010 and it ain’t all because of the Tea Party.

I'm still wondering just how tax-cheat Charlie avoided prison.

He knows where too many bodies are buried, where closets with skeletons are, which terminal the baggage is hiding, etc...

Oddly enough, I agree with that.

The Republicans should just repeat the following critical facts, over and over:

1) Total federal revenue for 2010 (estimate): $2.2 Trillion.

2) Total federal expenses 2010: $3.7 Trillion.

3) Total Deficit: $1.6 Trillion

4) Interest on the national debt: $414 Billion.

Within the next TEN YEARS, we are likely to arrive at a point where we will be unable to pay interest on the national debt EVEN IF WE CANCEL ALL OTHER GOVERNMENT SPENDING from Defense to Social Security.
