Muslims, by belief and practice, are the most blatant violators of human rights. We hardly need to detail here Muslims' systemic cruel treatment of the unbelievers, women of all persuasions, and any and all minorities across the board. To Muslims, human rights have a different meaning, and its protective provisions are reserved strictly for Muslims -- primarily for Muslim men. Just a couple of examples should suffice for now.

Oppression of women, for one, is so systemic in Islam that to this day women are, at best, second-class citizens under Islamic law. Saudi Arabia, the custodian of Islamdom, denies women the right to drive, vote or hold elective office -- the most basic rights of citizens in democratic societies. Arabs and Muslims are masters of double-acts. They do all things in private, yet the public display of morality, decorum, and even piety is something you wear as you would your Keffiyeh even under the sizzling sun.

In model Islamic states such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, for instance, women do not dare complain about their Allah-decreed chattel status. If they protest in the least, they are beaten by their husbands. And if they dare to demonstrate in public for equal family rights with men, they get severe beatings by the police and are hauled to jails for additional indignities and violence.

One may wonder then why is it that millions of Muslim women meekly submit to their subservient rank and thank Allah for it. These women are virtually imprinted by their parents and the clergy from birth to adopt the gender inequality as well as the entire pathological Islamic ethos.

Islam can be a "forgiving" religion, specifically for the male. If you neglect to say your prayers or you simply don't want to, you can hire someone, preferably an imam...

What’s the news, here? This sounds exactly like a social order created in the mind of a madman in the seventh century, embellished by his own lunatic ravings, and fed by his base urges that included torture, murder, and at least one sham marriage to a child of six.
What I find most astounding about islam is that so many people seem to accept the cult order. I did read a bit of work, a couple days back, that postulated a theory for the continued incivility of the muslims. According to the researchers it springs from the significant percentage of the islamic population that has engaged in consanguinity over the last 1400 years or so. The lowered average IQ, and the increased occurrence of birth defects, stillbirths, etc., statistically correlate to the higher incidence of consanguineous marriage and inbreeding. Interesting stuff.
Doesn’t change a lot, though.
This social order masquerading as a pseudo-religion is a cancer on humanity.

To me a big question has always been why people put up with being enslaved by Islam, whose ultimate beneficiaries are, as the author of this excellent article points out, its clergy, who get to do whatever they want. But Islam (through sharia) is a very all-encompassing system, and somebody born into it is like a citizen of the USSR in the old days - simply brainwashed and too full of inertia to even question it. Those whose cultures are taken over by are afraid of it, because again, as the author points out, it is the religion of viciousness and violence, and those who are converts are probably just plain nuts, people who have severe emotional problems that they are expressing by joining themselves to this hate-filled, violent cult that validates their own personal disturbance.

It's true that anybody under Islam becomes somewhat pyschotic, but Mohammed essentially designed a "religion" for himself: he was a savage male from a savage tribe that made its living by taking things away from other tribes and peoples around them. One of the "things" it often took was their women, who were then forced to breed with these primitive Arabs.

All Mohammed did in his "religion" was create a legitimizing cult for his tribal behavior. And he himself probably was psychotic, so he took it one step beyond and made it truly savage and awful.

Anyone who has actually read the Qur’an knows Islam is a bloodthirsty religion.

A European friend sent me a few books on the subject. Two which I would recommend about the status of Islamic and Arab women especially are “Now They Call Me Infidel” and “Cruel and Usual Punishment,” both by Noni Darwish, a woman born into the Egyptian elite who has moved to America and converted to Christianity. She pulls no punches about the straightjacket that Islam puts its people into.

I was reading this passage from the book of Revelation. When it mentioned the beheadings of Christians that is to come, I immediately thought of the murderers being Islam.

"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Revelation 20:4)
