This pure Chicago machine politics. Put a machine guy in to run things for a dummy figure head (Obama).
Rahm was the machine guy for the first two years of the Obama regime. Now that Rahm is back home, Bill Daiey will be calling the shots.
Look for corporate shakedowns and pay-to-play deals to increase in the Obama White House the next two years. Its the Chicago Way! And oh yeah, look for the state of Illinois to get a Federal bail out. The state of California will get bailed out too but that will just be to set the precedent for the Illinois bail out. Might as well get some of that fed moola while their boy is in the White House, you know.
