Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin – whose lips have been sealed about the recent repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” – is now hinting that she supports the move.

Palin has not spoken publicly about the end of the ban on gays serving openly in the military, but she appeared to show support for the change via a retweet on Monday night of a gay conservative radio host.

i agree, the issue is settled for now....ive nvr heard sarah come out and say she is against, or ever was against DADT...but the tammy twitter shows she is agreeing, move on....IF SHE HASNT EXPLICITLY EXPRESSED SUPPORT AGAINST DADT, OR SHOWS PRO HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA, that is one thing, but merely agreeing to move on to more pressing issues makes more sense, hell bells....

I suspect there are going to be a lot of posters who go into denial over Palin’s position on gays.

DENIAL? Over what "position?" What position has she stated "on gays?"

Innuendo like this is an enemy of the truth.

Tammy Bruce, a Palin-friendly commentator who has interviewed the ex-governor, tweeted: “I’m focused on economic issues, and you may have noticed I was being quiet about DADT because that’s not our most pressing issue…But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. [Enough] already – the more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed.”

Palin relayed the comment to her more than 350,000 followers without further explanation. A Palin spokesman did not respond to a request for additional comment.

Looks like someone is reading way more than is there to read!

That was my conclusion as well. Palin re-tweeted "without explanation" because she know we, her supporters, understand that she's agreeing with Tammy about priorities, and DADT un-repeal not being one.

exactly, some innocuous post where palin supports her friend who disagrees with the hipocracy surrounding a currently, settled issue, on DADT...and so pissant decides to read into it and tries to blow it all out of porportion...

and all the sudden, some weak-kneed folks go even more wobbly...over nothing.....

Palin was for carbon caps before she was against them. Read the transcript from the VP debate.

>> “Since she brought it up, she needs to clarify her views on it.” <<

.
She didn’t bring it up.

She passed on a comment of one of her most visible supporters.

remember, at this time, this site does not support any posts which speak favorably of gays in the military; several have been banned for posting articles suggesting that we need to stop being “stuck” on this.

So you should be cautious.

In the first post, people complained that the article was from the gawker. So this is from a slightly more credible news source (only slightly).

It does appear that most news sites are interpreting the re-tweet in the same way. If that interpretation is wrong, I’m sure Palin will say so — she’s not shy about expressing her opinion when she wants to.

After reading some of these posts, I guess social issues are no longer a priority.

If that is the case, I guess I will quit flaming Mitch Daniels now.

Please quote the section where you think she said she was for carbon caps. I don't believe it. This woman knows the energy business better than 90% of the pols out there.

After reading some of these posts, I guess social issues are no longer a priority.

So, if "social issues" are not priority _#1_, then they are "no longer a priority?" Stop it. You know better than that. I want abortion banned in every state, in every case, no exceptions; it is murder. But we can't get that done IF THERE IS NO LONGER ANY FREEDOM LEFT TO DO IT WITH!

Sheesh. Get a sense of proportion.

Let's stop Obamacare (which funds abortion from Federal funds; got your attention now?) and CUT FUNDS to the Federal beast that is oppressing this nation. Then we can work our way down the priority list.

Does this mean that Jim will ban her from FR?

She is a real conservative, right?

I saw that and asked for ‘sources’. Of course there are no sources as the poster claimed it was in 2010. Always ask for sources and you will generally get your answer.

She did agree, while Governor, to a ‘committee’ to investigate gw and make recommendations ; 2007. I have that information but it’s back a few weeks. But it was of an investigative nature only.

Well, she's gonna have to do some more fancy tapdancing on this.

Her fans won't care.

Silence is itself a form of assent.

The Republican Party leadership is rotted with folks who are giving the same kind of tacit consent to the destruction of morally-based republican self-governance and the natural family and marriage.

We're seeing it in spades here in Iowa as we try to impeach the last four Supreme Court justices who redefined marriage. The GOP leadership wants us to shut up so they can "win." Of course, even when they win, conservatism gains little or nothing.

Come on. This is ridiculous. I guarantee that JimRob has a better sense of priorities and proportions than the "social issues must be priority #1 at all times or they are not a priority at all" crowd.

If everything is a priority, nothing is. We've got to make the list, work it, and then re-order the priorities as we win, and as conditions on the ground change. Sheesh, have you people have no sense of tactics and strategy?
