The now-criminal investigation of NYC sanitation workers for allegedly delaying slowing snow removal is picking up steam.
A video obtained by CBS-2 shows snowplows driving through Queens on the night of the blizzard with plows raised. Other pictures and reports show workers napping on the job, drinking beer, and spending 11 hours at a Dunkin Donuts.
All of this evidence has been submitted to prosecutors who are looking into criminal wrongdoing. We're waiting for someone to get fired.

Ah, unions for the win.
“We’re waiting for someone to get fired.”
Is that all? How about years and years in the slammer.
Don't hold your breath. Prosecutors are govt employees too. They will never set the precedent of firing govt employees for laziness. But if by some strange quirk of fate they do get separated from those jobs some other agency will hire them and they will retain their seniority. Just like the air traffic controllers.
What a shock, unionized city employees laying down on the job.
Fired? How ‘bout as in ‘Ready, Aim....
Union thugs: “Don’t like my service? Well, **** off.. there’s nothing you can do about it!”
Hmm.

Video Shows NYC Sanitation Workers quietly Wasting Time
Video Shows NYC Sanitation Workers unobtrusively Wasting Time
Nah. Doesn't make it better. Useless adverb ping.
Didn’t happen. Couldn’t have or else we would have heard about it on the MSM before now instead of some Jimmy Olson showing some video trying to make a name for himself.

That is normal procedure. The unions have 5 people doing the job of one so there is a lot of redundancy and not a lot of work being done. I believe all the union leaders should be fired, the union decertified and every worker responsible for themselves. That’s just me. There is no place for unions in government work.
I think it’s more in the sense of “You can’t explain your way out of this one.”
Ask your friendly union employee friend what the term “milking” means, kkthx. /s =.=
Then...nothing.
I wonder if that little tale of woe will be repeated in this case?
I pray that they go after these union leaders, b*lls to the wall. Then, they fire all the samitation “workers” and privatize the service. Until we kick these criminals to the curb, we will always be held hostage by them.
There isn’t one thing the unions offer that can’t be better accomplished by the private sector.
One more thing- all federal and state protections for unions should be ended. They have the Constitutional right to organize and peaceably assemble. THAT is all the protection they need.
From the article...”We’re waiting for someone to get fired.”
In a normal world, then yes, the guys who were so blatantly disregarding their work WOULD get fired.
But these are labor unions.
To get a labor boy (or girl) fired from their job is an epic task - no matter whether it’s in New York City or Des Moines Iowa.
As much as i’d like to see some people get the axe because of this (and I’ll cross my fingers that it will happen), I’m not confident that anything will be done.
“Workers Blatantly Wasting Time”
Isn’t that by definition a Union?
Few stories we covered in 2010 got the reaction this one did.
Members of the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Investigative Unit were curious what was being done to fill potholes on St. Paul streets. By the time the story aired, a top city official resigned and more than a dozen city employees were under investigation.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS reporter Bob McNaney broke one of our top stories of 2010.
